The situation I am talking about is not only about the Ukraine war, but also about a process that started before the war. The increase in the prices of bread and flour actually started long before the war.

In any case, the war did not have such a serious effect on pricing, the depreciation of the ruble affected the price of some things, of course, but they took immediate measures, both stabilizing the ruble and preventing serious price increases.

Fruit, vegetable and tomato prices also stabilized after the sudden rise in the first days of the war.

There has been a serious increase in the prices of only technological products, since most of them are foreign brands, it is no longer possible to find such goods easily in the market with the embargo application. In fact, it does not have a serious impact on the flow of life, since there are no such daily needs. The traffic is still in the same congestion, people are in a hurry from here to there.

Metro prices did not change either, gasoline prices were at the same levels, electricity and natural gas prices did not change anyway.

The prices of laundry detergent, clothes, shoes are the same, meat, milk, egg and chicken prices. There is no such a serious increase in any of them, the increases in the prices of cheese, onions, potatoes, sunflowers, butter, tea and coffee are not so unbearable. Even sugar prices are at the level of seasonal price fluctuations. Russia has already limited sugar exports for a while, he said that the needs of the domestic market are more important, the prices immediately came to balance.

Only flour and bread prices have had a certain upward trend for a long time, and the increase is continuous.

I was listening to the news in the morning, now I understand why. China has been collecting grain since the time of the pandemic. China does this all the time, some time ago it was collecting rebar, aluminum. He's been collecting cement for a long time. That's why prices for these materials skyrocketed around the world. Now he is collecting grain. When such a big economy turns to something, it affects the market worldwide.

Of course, there is a huge population density there. Compared to other countries in terms of population, its lands are not enough, and it is not so fertile, anyway, Chinese lands. Feeding this huge population is not easy at all. And when there is a big economy at the level of threat to the world, every decision you make affects other countries, it scares them a little.

I see the population density map that I once saw on the internet. It's an engineering disease, numbers come to mind right away, let's calculate it together if you want.

Let's round it up a lot for easy remembering, the total land area on the earth's surface is about 150 million square kilometers. If we say that the world population is 8 billion on average, with proper distribution, there are about 50 people worldwide per 1 square kilometer. Again, I rounded the numbers so that it would be easy to remember.

Let's compare this account. For example, the number of people who have to live in Turkey seems to be 40. If we do not count our guests, we are twice as busy.

With the same calculation, there are 480 million people in China, and it is stated that the population of 2022 is 1 billion 439 million. That's three times more than it should be.

The situation is worse in India, while the population of this country should be 165 million by our calculation, there are currently 1 billion 380 million people. More than 8 times what it should be.

The United States of America is more balanced, it turns out 490 million, again, the population of 2022 is 331 million. 67% of what it should be.
