Being Marginal, Understanding Marginal Mindset

Joking aside, I don't think being marginal should be a bad thing. Because the dynamism of society feeds on marginality. There should be some people who are outliers so that you can distinguish those who are not. How else will you understand who is acting contrary and who is not?

A word that has been on the agenda recently is marginal.

I am not going to go into the details of where it came from, why it came up, who said it to whom, when, where and why, because I think we all know these details. We know that he said this word because he said it in a public speech.

Yes, the word or the accusation is marginal!

Personally, I am tired of the fact that nothing has changed in the country despite the passage of so much time, and that I see similar things over and over again, but as I said, I will not go into the reasons for the incident.

Yes, let's analyse marginality today.

What is marginality?

First of all, since it contains the letter "j", it sounds like a French word.

Yes, it is written in the etymological dictionary that it has passed into our language from French. But on the other hand, this word is not a real French word. Like many other French words, this one has its origins in Latin.

Marginalis!

This is also Latin.

Margo, derived from the word margin, meaning edge, means notes or ornamentation written on the outer edge of a book, belonging to the edge, not included in the main subject.

Of course, it has a second meaning, it also means outside the social order, which is the general usage in our country.

In TDK, they even used a much more common definition. They say it is contrary.

What do you mean by that?

Outlier, that is, not in conformity with what is customary, what is accepted as right, hilâf, muhalif. In other words, those who are extreme in the way they live in society. A person or persons who do not do what everyone else does! Marginalised!

If this is what marginal means, I can say that it is not a very bad thing.

For example, leadership is not something that everyone does, rather the general society prefers to follow a leader.

So we can say that leaders are also marginal people.

***

Look, a very ironic situation arises at this point.

Who is the leader of our society now?

That's right! That's who!

It's a bit ironic then.

Both you yourself will be marginal and you will accuse people of being marginal...

It's really ironic.

It is not for nothing that they say that one knows the other as oneself.

***

Joking aside, I don't think being marginal should be a bad thing. Because the dynamism of society feeds on marginality.

There should be some people who are outliers so that you can distinguish those who are not. How else will you understand who is acting contrary and who is not?

***

Look, something completely different comes to my mind here.

If everyone behaves in the same way, how will we know what is right and what is wrong?

What if society is in a wrong together?

There will be people who do something wrong so that you will think, why are they doing this wrong?

***

They don't want the country to access energy resources!

We are trying to use our national and domestic resources, so should we spend so much foreign currency and buy imported energy?

Okay, but there is also a phrase called burning a quilt for a flea.

What is wrong? What is the objection?

You are destroying forests!

But we're planting saplings!

We need the coal from there!

We'll use the coal for energy, we'll burn coal and give you electricity!

In short, the issue revolves around this theme.

The surrounding villagers say don't massacre the forest, the state says they will extract coal. Those who object are accused of being marginalised.

***

Another example of the state and society not understanding each other, not the whole society, of course, but a section of it. A section that is marginal to the state!

Who is right?

According to some, the state, according to others, the villagers living there.

***

So how far can we go with a society that cannot understand each other?

I think the issue is more than not understanding each other.

I think the issue is not about who is right and who is wrong.

The issue is the imposition of what I say!

I have the power, so it will be the way I say it will be.

So the issue is neither the trees cut down there nor the need for coal to be mined. It's a show of power!

Otherwise, if desired, other reasonable solutions could have been found long ago.

***

So is there anything that can be done?

Akbelen today, another place tomorrow, does it matter?

If you object to a decision, yesterday you were labelled a terrorist, today you are labelled a marginalised person!

Let's say we are all marginalised, what difference will it make?

To tell you the truth, we are in a crazy situation as a country, believe me, it doesn't make any difference after this hour.

We will wait for the people in charge to come to faith, for the society to become more aware, for a modern country to elect the rulers it deserves.

How long will this take? I don't know, maybe a century, maybe more.

It is not so easy to transform this society. A lot has to change.

You mean surrender?

No, that's not what I mean. If marginality is marginal, we're all marginal! I will continue to be a contradiction until the end.

Love and respect to everyone from Moscow.
