As we mentioned before, we said that the main theme of our articles is to draw a roadmap for ourselves from the lived events that stand out in "managerial" issues. In this article, we will cover a different topic.
We will try to highlight some of the main topics that should be considered for the healthy execution of the business, its continuity, stability and management based on trust, by describing the events without going into technical details.

Manner and style

In a way, how the work will turn out in our business life is in our own hands. Except for exceptional cases, it is up to us to shape the result in the direction we want. Our way of claiming any subject and our attitude should be realistic. It is often unrealistic to take a dominant or passive position in achieving something. However, agreements with a realistic infrastructure can be sustained.
According to our approach, it can be partially controlled whether the result is “yes” or “no”. The answer to the question asked can be tactically constructed. To illustrate this with an anecdote:
The story is that a man with a conservative life (a western origin story...) once asked a clergyman the following question:
- “Father, I never fail to pray, I always thank the Creator, but while doing this, I have a habit that I cannot give up. I love chickpeas all my life and I always keep them in my pocket.
- Is it okay for me to eat roasted chickpeas from time to time while I pray? he asks.
The clergyman, so that the man does not feel bad, still be a little careful;
- It is okay to eat roasted chickpeas while praying, but it would be better if you eat it after you have finished your prayer, for the sake of self-control.
As you can see, the answer is a polite “no”.
Some time passes, the same person tries to ask the same question in a different way this time. Again, with the same explanation, he asks his question this time as follows:
Man:
- Do you mind if I repeat my prayers to myself while eating my chickpeas? he asks,
The clergyman wants to encourage the man not to neglect his prayers and,
He answers, "My son, is it time to pray, of course, it is a good thing to pray at every opportunity,"
As you can see, the answer is “yes” for encouragement.
If you notice, the question is the same: Can I pray while eating chickpeas? Or is it appropriate to eat roasted chickpeas while praying?
Here, the answer can be "yes" or "no" depending on the way you ask the question.
In our business life, it can be fictionalized that the result we want is “yes” or “no” when approaching events or issues. I think it goes without saying that it is always beneficial to study the subjects beforehand.
“In our understanding of management, it is obvious that the method and style will directly affect the result.”
We all experience similar events every day. Me and my wife observe similar events in our 11-year-old son. We all adore our children. We usually get or do whatever they want to please them. Later, we can sometimes get angry and sometimes feel sorry for them neglecting other issues that they need to do. The usual dialogue between my son and his mother has always caught my attention.
- After my son studies a little, I go to his mother.
- Mom, how are you, do you need anything?
- No dear son, is your lesson over?
- I'm done, mom, I repeated the old topics.
- I've finished my homework.
- Well done son, give me a hug and let me look at my mother.
- How is your painting work going?
- Oooo mom, I've done that before.
- It's very nice, let me show you, look, here it is.
- I also drew my cat, it was very good...
- You were going to read a book, did you do that too?
- Of course, I'll do that too, I came to say it anyway!
- I was going to ask if I should read in English or German?
- You can read whatever you want
- You have an exam in English, if you want, read some English.
- Take out the words you don't know, we'll ask your father when he comes.
- He says okay mommy and goes away and after a while...
- Hey, our son comes into the hall shouting with joy that he has finished his homework, painting and reading books.
- Ohh, I'm so happy that I completed everything.
- He hugs his mother and says it's good that I listened to you.
- ......
Of course, meanwhile, we also watch TV… The program we watch does not appeal to him. At this very moment, he brought what he was going to say to the punduna;
- Mom, can I look at my computer?
- .....
Me and her mom looked at each other and said, "Okay!" We have no alternative but to say.
- We say, "Okay, but let it be half an hour".
Our son now happily enters his room. He got what he wanted! ...
It is very similar to the above story I told here. In a way, our son has untied us. He has learned to construct the infrastructure of the things he wants to do, according to the answer to which he will receive "yes". We are aware of this situation and we allow them to do what they want to do in a controlled way without exaggerating. We understand and approve that he does not exaggerate subjects such as computer games.
It is important to keep a reasonable balance.
In today's conditions, especially in the behavior of our children, a balanced understanding The approach is important.
In many issues, it is necessary not to be completely prohibitive or completely indifferent.

Goodwill

In fact, everything is a little bit about the good will of the work we do. There will be a day when something done can be perceived as good or bad according to its place. Whatever the perception is, it is important that the result be accepted as lucrative. This short story explains it very well.
It is rumored that in ancient times, a man was traveling on his horse. After driving a long way, he stops to rest under a tree in a shady place. Since the man is a little tired, he wants to take a nap in the calm atmosphere of the surrounding. As a precaution, he drives a stake into the ground and ties his horse to this stake so that it does not escape. After a while, he wakes up rested and wants to continue on his way. He unties his horse from the stake he has tied. He leaves the peg he has driven in place for the convenience of another person. And he continues on his way.

Come and go, another day, another traveler stops to rest in the same shade. In the grass growing over time, the previous traveler, who is difficult to see, trips on the ground and stumbles. The passenger gets very angry and without understanding how a person would drive such a stake into such a beautiful place, he rips it out and throws it so that someone else does not trip and hurt himself.
In this story, we are faced with an action that is the opposite of each other, who hammers a stake in the ground with good intentions so that others can benefit, and who unscrews the stake with good intentions so that others do not trip and get hurt. Despite their opposite actions, what they both do is spiritually sublime.
It should be kept in mind that in the business world, it is possible to contribute to the institution by evaluating similar events in very different ways. In order to establish this in our business life, it is always necessary to look at the whole picture.
‘Our approach may not be the only right one, it should not be forgotten that there may be other truths as well.’

Patience and the whole picture

Looking at the whole picture allows us to make sound decisions. There was a commercial that I remember from 1986's; The visual presentation progressed gradually as follows:
- The first image showed a young man sprinting towards a lady on the sidewalk of a busy street, giving the impression that he was going to take her bag and run away. Naturally, the first thing that comes to our mind is that such a sad situation can happen to a woman.
- In the second part of the picture, it showed the approach moment of this young man running fast, past the woman and jumping on an old man with a briefcase in his hand a short distance away. There was a perception that the target of the runner was not a woman, but slamming the old man's bag. Naturally, it is impossible not to be reactive to this undesirable situation.
- In the last episode, it was the young man who was running fast, jumping on the old man and pulling him aside quickly, saving him from being under the collapsing balcony above.
When we consider this three-stage picture one by one, it seems obvious that it gives very different perceptions. But when we consider the whole picture, the image is actually the young man running, performing a very brave and self-sacrificing act.

We have seen together how healthy and correct it would be to see the whole picture in our decisions. We have all faced similar situations in our lives.
Therefore, patiently understanding the whole picture without reaching a definite conclusion enables us to make a more accurate decision.
‘Managers who make the right decisions are the just ones.’
