Social and Individual Roles

The individual and society consciously or unconsciously endeavour to mould human beings. Those whose source is Absolute Values realise this through fine arts, communication elements and social psychology channels. The late Seyit Ahmet Arvasi evaluated the situation in terms of competition, similarities and contrasts between cultures and civilisations in his work titled Aesthetics and Dialectics, and left it on the library shelves. The work in question, which has an interdisciplinary content, continues to provide the gain of determining the directions of researchers in many aspects. 

People assume various roles in social life and carry out different relationships with many people. There are many different types of relationships such as emotional, friendship and business. From the perspective of Turkish culture, family relationships are much more important than these. There is a necessity to realise this through healthy communication channels. Sometimes psychological, sometimes genetic, sometimes the environment can turn this into an impossible situation. Relationships that are special, unique and unique need to be carried out within the scope of healthy communication, otherwise the delicate balances can be permanently damaged without being noticed. It should not be forgotten that the individual cannot choose his/her family, he/she cannot leave it because it comes from within the Turkish culture. Evaluations based on the values of other cultures and civilisations, especially the West, do not yield crops in this climate.

It can be extremely difficult to make headway in cases involving family elders, mother, father, siblings, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law. As in the case of outsiders, material and moral responsibilities and missions are undertaken among the aforementioned close relatives, and a balance of social and individual roles emerges spontaneously. Each involves material and material elements. While the balance is on the agenda, the party that manages it successfully starts to march towards leadership regardless of its position, and this march has no end in terms of the summit. He completes his life as a role model both individually and in the social field.

Although those who prioritise material issues in the role balance stand out more by nature, it is known that spiritual values and representations constitute a silent majority. There is such a silence between spouses, children and siblings, which is not voiced or felt the need to be voiced. Although very few of these are expressed later, and a significant part of them are expressed as an extension of material abuse, the amount that deserves respect and reverence rolls into eternity and is entitled in both worlds.

The aforementioned issue is like a telephone handset as a means of communication. Some of the people are inclined to gain only from this communication and they always continue like this. As in respect, love, kindness, compassion, they always keep their reservoirs wide in materiality. They do not proceed in the same direction in transferring or reflecting to the other person. Since they have kept only one route open from past to present, they have difficulty in participating in the return mobility right next to them. When the difficulties become a deterrent, they cannot look at what they have destroyed behind them. Of course, as in all matters, the number of those who drive in the next lane and do not realise the opposite direction is also quite high. What is gained on such a route can turn into a whirlpool with the loss of the position, and the effort to move in the same direction can be returned as heavy costs and harsh realities.

When we look at the characterisations that stand out in the boiling cauldron

Extravagants (those who are always trying to give): 

When those who work and earn without blinking an eye and spend without calculation and hesitation when they return to the front that they value, their value is realised after the horse has crossed Üsküdar when they are invisible. However, "many drown in the Bosphorus while crossing Üsküdar". It is well known that a candle that melts even though it illuminates its surroundings is also a sign of light.

Misers who cannot give: 

It has been seen many times how those who are too closed in transferring their earnings, whether material or intellectual, soon turn what they value so much into scrap and rubbish. Unfortunately, they could not benefit from them themselves. However, vital elements such as money and water lose their original value if they are not utilised. Although they differ from each other, it is foreseen that one out of every fifty people has this type of characterisation. It may be considered appropriate to include in this category the obsession with the preservation of all things that are not needed, whether tangible or intangible, and that are accumulated unnecessarily.

Greedy people who can't get enough of taking:

Those who grow up parasitically from childhood and turn this into behaviour never consider what they receive as a gift, but they consume and destroy time, attention, love and interest with a complete consumer model. Moreover, it is not limited to this puddle, but extends to the sea and dries it up. Still, he cannot understand. Their representation in television series, which maintain their priority among mass media, attracts attention. Most of them are not preferred as main characters.

Those who have difficulty in getting it: 

Although they symbolise a small amount in terms of number, they are in the position of a certain environment of possible negatives. While some of the people here can overcome their problems with personal development, some with therapy, some with treatment, it is not easy for them to accept their situation. For this reason, it can be progressed by being locked in insolvency.

We are of the opinion that the transfer of the briefly listed features to the target audience, especially with television series and cinema film projects, in a shortness and speed that can be followed especially by young generations, will prevent the drying of the original eye in individual and social roles. Slow progress makes the early finale inevitable and fails to reveal the targeted added value, as in the examples of Sipahi (Director: Hakan İnan, 2022-2023) and Dokuz Oğuz (Director: Cem Akyoldaş, 2023) in the representation of sacrifices, pains, responsibilities and duties.

Balanced or unbalanced roles are related to experiences and the continuous internal communication that the individual realises on his/her own. These are different from each other, but the members of the discipline who carry out their research and activities at the same weight point are constantly updating them.

In addition to the individual, it is immediately understood that the limitation of resources on the material front within the social role balances, while the limitation of the spiritual aspect is a compulsion that people themselves reveal. Despite the fact that this is the case, the domination of material limitation over spiritual issues is also tried to be ensured through the central organisation, and the flow range of the world is shaped according to the dominant thought from local to universal. No matter from which source the individual or the society feeds in this range, it gains the one who directs it. In other words, although it does not deal too much with the parties who play the game, it wins and expands its dominance area by opening brand new spaces. In general, what they scatter and what they keep does not result in anything other than harm. However, there is a need for both what is scattered and what is kept, and it contributes to the healthy development of individual and social role balances. Feeding from the spring of Absolute Being in terms of what, when and how much, manifests itself as the main solution to the problems that are touted as unsolvable and preserves the existence in the bosom of Turkish culture.

The reality of quality life is to ensure the balance of individual and social roles. For this, it is inevitable to be a member, follower, fighter and lover of the truth, but only the truth, as soon as you open your eyes to the world. The first step in reaching it is the individual's brain that works like clockwork and the accumulations of social and universal experiences. Positive or negative points are only barriers to whether the steps taken forward will continue or not. There is no obstacle that an individual, a community, a society that is sharing but closed to abuse, accumulative but does not lead to fixation, feeds from the true spring but develops the ability to update, runs to tomorrow but does not break away from yesterday, and takes into account humanities and sciences cannot overcome. This situation does not mean looking idly with hands tied behind one's back and swinging.

Sometimes the need to have no expectations in relationships is mentioned. However, "giving without receiving is reserved for Allah". Every person wants to be respected in their relationships, to receive attention when necessary, to be in material and spiritual sharing, and there may be such expectations. The important thing is to create a balance of giving and receiving, knowing that both sides have such needs. Indeed, the resources in the universe are unlimited. Resources that do not end with giving do not end with receiving. By taking this point into account both individually and socially, pragmatic results can be achieved.

Failure to establish the balance of giving and receiving in one's own life and relationships causes anger and unhappiness within oneself. People who try to give more than necessary with the idea that they are givers become unhappy with giving after a certain point. Similarly, people who are too many receivers experience dissatisfaction and unhappiness. The balancing of nature, which is the representation of the miracle, must be tried to be benefited by individual efforts. When the balance is disturbed, negativities trigger each other and turn into barriers. Disappointments, exhaustion, conscious or conscious exploitation, and acceptance of scarcity increase, while mutual trust and abundance decrease and a feeling of fatigue prevails. All these bring friendships and friendships to an end. Although separations are the reason for new unions, accepted negativities lock the positive expansion of this.
