Those Who Worship Power as a Companion

We live in a geography where there is an abundance of fickle and devious people. It is as if this land is their homeland! Regardless of time and place, they are wearing the masks of their own middle games, and they continue to play their games tirelessly, and it seems that they will continue to do so. 

"Every good has a buyer" they say. It is a very beautiful saying, it is like a summary of what I am about to tell you. Because there are those who buy these goods without getting tired of them. If we continue to bathe in the same dirty water that we bathe in, which is the case, I am afraid that this situation will continue unchanged for a while and we will always have to go back to where we started. 

There is no doubt that power has meaning and value when it is controlled. Because uncontrolled power is not power. All wars in the world are fought to seize power. If the intoxication of power takes over people's emotions and with it their thoughts, then drifts and disasters begin to follow one after the other. The important thing is to manage power and not get intoxicated by it. 

Power is like a magnet that attracts people to itself. Since some of us do not have this kind of power, they side with those who are powerful. Their interests require it. Such people have no principles and no humanity, they are baseless. They prostrate themselves before the powerful and are prisoners of the culture of subservience. Their qibla is wherever the center of power is. They have no concern for right and wrong. They are pilgrims whose qibla turns in favor of whoever is in power! They are more royalist than the king in every period. For them, democracy, fascism or any other regime makes no difference. They always kiss the hand of whoever is in power with reverence as long as it serves them. They have no qualms about it. However, such people never forgive those who fall from power. They compete with each other to be the first to kick the one who falls from power. Because they have taken power and the powerful as their qibla! They belong to the sect of power worshippers, the congregation of those who prostrate to the powerful! 

Now these power worshippers do not worship the person, but the power that emerges in his/her person. They take advantage of that person's power to gain position, office and wealth. 

I know power worshippers very well in this country. I know very well those who prostrate to power in this country. In this country, I know very well those whose qibla is the center of power. In fact, we all know them very well. These have now become a part of our daily lives, as if they have become an immutable fact.

I consider myself an expert on this subject. Because I have learned the failures of the genetic codes of this country very well as I read, write, speak and travel.

I have learned what power means by experiencing it. I have seen how people, especially the big money men, high bureaucrats and the like, are bent double in front of it, and how they speak in silence. I have also watched carefully from behind a screen how those who work in the bureaucracy and fill big and high positions until they retire, how they are after they retire. Because they worship power, not people. They are on the side of whoever is in power.

Those who worship them today because they are powerful and accuse their opponents of being traitors will be the first to be traitors to them tomorrow when they fall from power! It should be well known that the most traitors come from among the most power worshippers!
