What Is Crab Syndrome According To Us?
We all live together with the past and the future. In our opinion, most of us agree that the line of intersection of these is the linear line of the moment we are in.
Our life line
We all live together with the past and the future. In our opinion, most of us agree that the line of intersection of these is the linear line of the moment we are in.
Let's put it this way. Let's assume what happened in the past as one plane and what we want to happen in the future as another plane. The useful inferences we can make from the intersection of these two planes at a close, middle or distant stage in order to live the present moment correctly are our individual and social gains. This awareness offers us the opportunity to live the moment correctly and as it should be. The moment we understand this, we neither get stuck in the past nor get lost in the dreams of the future. If we have not been sufficiently aware of this "moment", the worst (the situation where these two planes never intersect) will happen. Maybe it will lead us to an impasse.
Finding the difficult in the simple
We can explain this better with the following example. Suppose we have 6 matchsticks. We can make at most 2 equilateral triangles from these matchsticks of equal size. If someone asks us to make 4 equilateral triangles from these 6 equal sized garbage; No matter what we do, it will not be possible to make more than 2 equilateral triangles. Because it does not seem likely to be possible by the theories of physics and mathematics.
Many of us have experienced that if we are asked to do something in our lives, it is as if we have entered a possible dead end. On the one hand, there is a definite result that is desired, and on the other hand, the rules of physics and mathematics, which cannot be forced, are obvious.
What would you do if it were you?
What is wanted is certain, what is to be done is something impossible. Just in this case, we can try to intersect the aforementioned past and future planes on a near, middle or far line. How are we going to do this? Both to do what is requested and to ensure that what is done is compatible with scientific theories. Do you think this is possible?
We'll see if this is possible and try how. How and where should we intersect the planes of the past and the future? Since the word is about life, we need to ensure that it is in harmony with moral and scientific theories and at the same time achieve the desired result.
What has been told so far is in size and simplicity that everyone can understand. But we haven't got any results yet. Are we shoveling in vain, like saying amen to a prayer that will not be accepted?
Maybe we're still on the same plane. If there is a problem to be solved, we must have a method that is different from what everyone thinks but that everyone will accept, so that we can solve this seemingly difficult simple problem.
You are also aware that it seems impossible to decide on a simple matter or to fulfill the given task, and we cannot help but wonder if there is a very simple solution.
In fact, isn't it simply hidden in the things we encounter in life? After we find something we are looking for, we lament that it was right under our noses. We can also make other connotations, such as is not the secret of things called difficult hidden in the simple? The thing to say is, "simple is difficult" translates to "the difficult is hidden in the simple." means.
So, we can approach that the above-mentioned problem, which seems to be difficult, should have a simple solution.
We tried and tried to solve the formation of 4 equilateral triangles from 6 equal-sized matchsticks by always turning them on the same table. We always turned around on the same plane.
What level are we on?
In our lives, we have always tried with what has been taught so far, but in vain no results came out. It is interesting, is not it? Well, where and what kind of plane should we be, what should this plane be so that we can intersect it with the plane on which we turn around.
If we make a humble determination here, when we say plane, we always think with the concepts taught to us. Because what we get from our education system always makes us work on solving what we know, it is quite natural for most of us to think this way. While we are given an applied mathematics approach called "applied math", it is natural for us to stay in such a vicious circle since its connections with real life are almost never explained.
However, we know that the concepts called mathematics also have a philosophical background. We could think differently if we could try solutions that touch our lives with a different perception beyond memorizing theorems, perhaps with scientific "discrete math" methods. As a result, a tour in different dimensions or planes could help us to understand that the “difficulty lies in the simple”.
We will see the method of jumping to the subject within the subject a lot in our articles.
If we give a more technical example to reinforce the given example in order not to open a mathematical criticism; For example, let's remember that we are always asked to solve equations in schools. In fact, these solution methods are explained in detail with more advanced algorithms in advanced mathematics courses.
Unfortunately, we have never been told that the results obtained from the solutions of these equations are equivalent in our real life.
There has never been anything that was told what it was. Whatever the reason, we have always learned more advanced algorithms at middle, high school, university or higher levels. Apart from being very rare, it is not explained what the results of these solutions will do or how they will touch our lives. That's why we always turn around on the same planes.
For those who take advanced mathematics. The fact that the root value of the equations we have solved is between 0-1 indicates that an engine we will design can be stable. If the root value is outside 0-1, it means that the design will not work. Such practices are rarely or not mentioned at all.
Or what the solution of a differential equation might mean in practice is never explained. In fact, it could be explained practically that it can be used in our daily life, in our monetary investments or in calculating the expansion of a metal according to geographical locations.
Sadly, some very valuable algorithms do not go beyond our memorization like lonely and lonely parrots. As such, better parrots in life test and evaluate other parrots. They can delegate tasks to them to show that they can memorize like themselves.
As a result, although not everyone, most of us always stay on the same plane, so we can only be functional as much as the capacity of that plane.
If we come to the solution of the problem that is asked of us, let's think that the "difficulty is hidden in the simple" as we say, and let's focus for a moment on what our future plane will intersect with our past plane.

We tried to make four equilateral triangles from 6 pieces of the same size, always on the same table. But we haven't got any results yet. Now, let's take this one step further and evaluate what will happen if we change our thinking with the data we have.
It is obvious that the surface of the table is a two-dimensional plane. Let's call it the "past plane". Let's look at a small height above the table and consider moving the desired shapes from two dimensions to a higher dimension.
In this case, it will be easily seen that we can create the desired 4 equilateral triangles in a 3-dimensional plane, since there will be no contradiction to any physical or mathematical theory. Here in this three-dimensional plane, let's call it the "future plane".
The result obtained is the "intersection line" of these past and future planes. This line will give the desired result as the intersection line of the two planes. This intersection line actually expresses the moment we are in.
The aim here is certainly not to solve any mathematical problem. Inspired by this, this essay was to draw attention to how some daily events in our lives, which at first seemed impossible, could be resolved simply. The essence of the essays will be to reference and shed light on the resolution of events in employee relations.
Through life
While the events to be narrated are stories, memories, analogies or experiences, the only common denominator is that they are definitely described from lived events. For this reason, there will be situations that may seem inconsistent from time to time, as it is not in our power to change the reality. We want to make completely transparent citations. Because we will sincerely share how life's ups and downs can exist, and that no one's life will be perfect or messed up all the time.
On another important issue, we have compiled our articles in a way that will appeal to absolutely everyone. We will never have an approach to make everyone "happy" or "criticize" anyone.
You will be proud of yourself for the equivalent of the narrated narrative in your life. At the same time, you will feel regrets from time to time because you are alone and alone with the voice of your own conscience.
We will call it life itself. Really, don't we all have ups and downs in our lives? We seem to hear you, yes, if we say it without any hesitation, in fact, we are all the same and there is no difference from each other.
If we are all the same, then why do we shy away, why do we feel ashamed, what do we feel the need to hide? If not, isn't the difference between one of us and the other, now is not the time to join hands and do something.
Sincerity
First of all, it must be sincere. It is essential to start this sincerity with goodwill, which is the beginning of everything. Don't we want to discover the ease of spreading these good wishes in waves by making a promise to ourselves, to be purified and believed, and to believe that the narratives here touch our lives?
At many stages of our lives, we have felt the stings of being truthful, honest and worthy. Turning to those we helped, we thought, "You too, Brutus". We are faced with the arrogance of those we respect due to our duty and office. We have been dealing with extreme authoritarian indifference. We have seen with bitter examples that those who think the seat they sit in do not fill that seat deserve respect.
We have witnessed the flattery shown to those who do not. Authority was given to those who could not take responsibility. It is appropriate to express the lack of authority to those who are responsible, with the aphorism "responsibility without authorization is craziness".
How much do we do constructive criticism? Aren't we facing hypocritical attitudes? Do we consider others worthy of what is asked for ourselves? How can we be accountable when we do to others what we do not want done to ourselves?
How sensitive can we be when facts are distorted by what we hear, see and experience. In such cases, how aware are our hands, tongues or hearts, and can we do something?
It is sad to say that a "necessary business" is on its head. When did we get into these situations, do we ever go back and question them? The disintegration or decline in a society begins when the people of that society begin to say "we need to" in the face of injustice. If we want to get rid of this inertia, we can see that what we want for ourselves on the basis of "justice" and "merit", when we want it for everyone, something changes.
Unfortunately, this change is getting worse day by day because we never learn from our experiences. The world is rapidly advancing in the direction of "not the right is strong, but the strong is right".
If we ask if there is a solution for this, it is possible to see that what seems difficult is actually not so difficult. As long as it is sincere, honest, fair and according to our merit, it is necessary to be opinionated. It is through good intentions to have these, as long as we ask for them. It is futile to expect change when we ourselves do not want to change.
The essence of our articles will be studied by presenting sections from real and natural life, each of which has been lived on its own. There will be absolutely no fiction or exaggeration in what is told. Each essay or narrative will share some individual, societal and institutional implications. It will help us to make an account of similar situations in our own lives. The quotations in our articles will be presented with the motive of holding a mirror to ourselves, enabling us to gain sensitive awareness.
There are events such as "should I tell or die". I wonder if we will be able to exhibit the behavior of "not saying goodbye to anything that we will finally say sorry" while accounting for every event. The reader will have to answer this question himself.
You do your best. You work, you try, you are open to improvement. Your heart always wants to fly high, but unfortunately your feet always get stuck in the shadows on the ground.
As we will explain in detail in a moment, as a result of the crab syndrome, someone does not sit idle and pulls you down, around your hands and arms as much as they can. They eliminate you as much as possible, they pacify you, they take your breath away. You can't breathe, despair is at your door. Those we know as friends are actually the devils closest to us. These are very well camouflaged suckers. They are arrogant and occupy high positions.
You understand, but either you can't do anything or they want you to be accepted. They also make you rebel when your voice is heard. When you are right, you are wrong. You are expelled from nine villages.
You will see similar events in our articles here. You will find ways out. You will be surprised at the results, you will open doors that you would not think of even if you plan for a thousand years. You will see that there is no need to despair and there is no need to struggle for despair. You will recognize the concept of patience. You will find unrequited friendships. You'll see that being a family doesn't have to be by blood. You will meet other good people. We'll all see to be thankful. You will be immersed in contemplation and witness the power of believing. You will witness that life is not a series of coincidences. You will face the painful bills of acting out of selfish feelings.
No matter how hard you try, you will come back and understand the reasons for being in the same place. You will see the frustration of believing the gilded words. Unfortunately, you will witness that they are trying to make you needy. You will see that those who say they know a lot actually know nothing and how they camouflage themselves.
You will see how arrogance and lies are power where knowledge should be power. You will find how events contradict each other in the process. You will find narratives that will help you see how some of them are dealing with their own shortsightedness with the work of others.
Crab Syndrome
Let's make a brief explanation about why the title of this column was chosen as "Crab Syndrome".
I heard about this concept in a TV documentary. The topic was different, but it meant a lot to me. It seemed like two magic words. These two words were enough to express the truths that I wanted or tried to explain in a very simple way.
The title was inspired by the concept of “Crab Basket Syndrome” and adopted for adaptations to our corporate and personal lives. We are all blessed with the trials that we will present from our lives.
We have encountered similar events. From time to time, our awareness of these events was too late, or even if we were aware of it, the circumstances did not give us the opportunity to struggle. Unfortunately, we are far from these good wishes that we hope in our practices. That's why we chose "Crab Syndrome" as the title for this column.
This concept is known as the pull-down syndrome, which is a person who rises with effort. We have all faced such situations both in corporate life and in private life.
Then what is this concept?
We have struggled with issues such as justified unfair competition, jealousy, tripping, and interruption in our business or private life. Unfortunately, this has hindered our efficiency.
As narrated in the TV documentary I watched; While a crab placed in the basket can easily come out of the basket, when the number of crabs increases, the crabs that want to get out of the basket are pulled down by the other crabs, so that no crabs can come out of the basket.
While a single crab can easily get out of the basket, it becomes impossible to get out as the number increases. Because instead of pushing each other up, crabs pull down and prevent each other and hurt each other.
The narratives that will be presented in our articles, which we will call rumors or essays, are depicted from my own life and what I have seen in my close environment, that is, from real events. In order to reinforce the narratives, concise anonymous narratives will also be used from time to time. In order not to pursue any personal purpose, the names of people, places and institutions are not used in general.
It is aimed for the reader to hold a mirror for himself by identifying similar events that he has experienced with those in his inner world, without aiming for any direction with the subjects told.
As a final word, we hope that your outlook on life will be positive after reading what will be shared here. You can make an illuminating experience accounting that will shed light on your future. Whatever you encounter in life, you will not be in despair. Because there is a divine justice that sees you beyond you.
Be at peace with yourself
As a suggestion, I can't help but emphasize this. Please be forgiving in your life. If you can forgive you will find peace. I know some people are hard to forgive. The pain and suffering they cause will not allow you to forget. As the only suggestion in my writings, if I ask permission to say this as a prescription: Please forgive the person you cannot forgive.
At least forgive this person you are dealing with in this world without your help, so that you will not face this person even if it is to get his due tomorrow on the day of divine justice. Don't worry, justice is infallible and it will definitely find its place. Consider this not as a bad thing for that person, but as better things can happen for you.
We hope you enjoy reading our next essays. You find similarities in your own life. We hope that these narratives will be an enlightening life map for you by taking sections from your experiences.
My aim is to be instrumental in making every moment of the person useful by awakening the unique potential self-confidence of the person that I have always lived by believing and that I believe exists in every person.
In a scientific context, too much clinging to the past can lead to depression, and to be distracted by utopian crude dreams about the future can lead to aggression; Therefore, in order to learn from the past and create a vision for the future, it will be more realistic to evaluate the moment with the current or present opportunities.
