Is there any possibility of co-operation between TAI and AIRBUS in the international marketing of HÜRJET?
TAI and AIRBUS have a long history of partnership in projects for the procurement of Turkey's aircraft requirements in civil and military aviation.
TAI and AIRBUS have a long history of partnership in projects for the procurement of Turkey's aircraft requirements in civil and military aviation.
For nearly 40 years, AIRBUS has been an important supplier and solution partner for Turkey, cooperating closely with Turkish companies, particularly TAI, for the requirements of Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Presidency of Defence Industries, Turkish Air Force, Naval Forces and Coast Guard.
Historically, Turkish Airlines, the Turkish National Flag Carrier, first began operating the Airbus A310 in 1985 and the Turkish Air Force acquired the former EADS CASA CN-235T in 1991. Turkey also became a partner in the Airbus A400M Atlas programme in 2003. In addition to partnerships in Turkey's aerospace programmes; two telecommunication satellites (TURKSAT-5A and 5B) manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space were launched into orbit in the same year 2021.
Airbus' current range of military aerospace products includes the A400M military cargo aircraft, the C-295 military tactical cargo aircraft, the A330 Multi-Purpose Tanker Aircraft and the Eurofighter Typhoon, a multi-role fighter aircraft.
It will be very advantageous for both AIRBUS and TAI to have an aircraft in the advanced jet training and light attack category such as HÜRJET in Airbus' military aircraft portfolio.
It is possible for AIRBUS to market the HÜRJET effectively in countries where AIRBUS is particularly influential, particularly in the advanced jet trainer aircraft projects of the Spanish Air Force and the US Naval Air Force, where the HÜRJET is among the candidate aircraft. A joint venture between AIRBUS and TAI for this purpose would be effective. A lifetime support service to be guaranteed by AIRBUS to the countries where HÜRJET will be sold will be a very important positive factor in the sale of the aircraft.
The marketing of the HÜRJET by AIRBUS, especially to European countries, and its sale with AIRBUS's lifetime maintenance support will be very effective, since most of these countries have an effective and continuous partnership and co-operation with AIRBUS in civil and military aviation.
In the advanced jet training and light attack aircraft requirements of A400M and Eurofighter Typhoon user countries, the chances of a HÜRJET marketed by AIRBUS will be much higher.
AIRBUS and TAI have many years of experience working together in the supply of Turkey's civil and military aviation requirements. Cooperation with AIRBUS in the marketing, sales and support of the HÜRJET through AIRBUS, especially to countries that use AIRBUS aircraft, is possible, possible and a cooperation for this purpose would be beneficial.
