Last year, on May 19, 2020, the pilot of an F-35A fighter jet that landed at the Eglin base in Florida, when he realized that he could not stop because he landed on the runway faster than he should, tried to take off again. Although the pilot, whose parachute opened successfully, survived this accident with minor abrasions, the F-35A aircraft, which rolled off the runway and rolled over, caught fire and caused great damage to the aircraft. This modern warplane, called the fifth generation, was scrapped by accident, resulting in a loss of $175,983,949, which is the cost of the plane. US army. instead of scrapping the crashed F-35A aircraft, it decided to use it for training on aircraft maintenance personnel working at maintenance bases. Parts of the aircraft that were not severely damaged in the accident will be made into training aids and sent to F-35A maintenance centers in different states. Since the F-35A aircraft is a very new aircraft, the training on this aircraft was given to the maintenance personnel on the aircraft that were in active use. Due to the flight mission of the aircraft used for training, the training was mostly interrupted. I consider the use of the wreckage of the F35A fighter aircraft as a training aid as a good opportunity for the training of maintenance personnel.
