My readers who follow my previous articles on STRASAM will remember. When Russia's operation against Ukraine started, I wrote that the loser of this business would be Putin, and the winner would be Biden.
Whether it's a war, a special operation, or whatever you call it, in the 50 days since it started, it has become clearer that this prediction is correct.
The US does not care much about the occupation of Ukraine, civilian casualties and humanitarian drama, as it is in its own interests. When the USA announced that it would provide new military aid to Ukraine, including armored personnel carriers, helicopters, howitzers, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, it certainly calculated that Russia and Putin would react harshly to this aid effort. In fact, the announcement that mobile hospitals will also be sent is an obvious indication that the region will again be covered in blood. It seems that the Russian side will activate the operation that it could not complete and crown with victory. In other words, the USA is forcing Putin to make another big mistake again.
Putin Goes On With His Mistakes:
It seems that Putin did not learn from the misconception that he would win the war with the use of hard power from the cold war period. As long as Putin does not give up this harshness, the winner of this war will be Biden and the USA. The reason is quite simple as listed below;
1. Russia's rapprochement with the European Union has been prevented, and the whole of Europe has been transformed into a desire for the USA to be next to it. The importance of NATO has increased and the key to feeling safe has been presented as NATO membership.
2. The USA's push of Russia to Ukraine and the humanitarian tragedies that followed, led to years of hostility towards Russia, not only in Europe but all over the world.
3. The USA reminded all of Europe that Europe was militarily dependent on the USA through its military support to Ukraine, Europe was prevented from establishing an army and Europe's obligation to the North Atlantic security system was consolidated.
4. The rearmament of Europe, especially Germany and Turkey, and the procurement of these weapons from the USA were ensured, the developing economies were ensured to invest in weapons, the shrinking US economy was saved, and the developing European and Russian economies were allowed to go backwards. Thus, in the future, the ground was provided to act together with the whole of Europe against China.
5. The value of the dollar, whose value was gradually decreasing, increased again, and the scissors in the euro and dollar parity began to close.
6. The country that benefited most from the increased natural resource prices as a result of the war was the USA, which is a natural resource exporter.
7. Russia's military power was exposed and the Russian army was worn out as a result of the 50-day war. in Ukraine. Because of this war, many trained Russian army members, including high-ranking generals and officers, were rendered ineffective; and Russian tanks, artillery, helicopters and armored vehicles equipment were destroyed by irregular war tactics of Ukraine which was supported by the USA.
8. Through sanctions, the United States seized various assets of Russia worth $1.5 trillion (almost twice the Gross National Product of Turkey).
9. Russia's growing influence in the world has been reduced, its reputation has been destroyed, the leadership of the most disliked country has been transformed from the USA to Russia, and Putin has been made the most unpopular leader of the world.

Conclusion:
What Russia needs to do to get out of this vortex is not to intensify the war by using more hard power, as it is doing now. Russia should be content with the Crimean and Donbas gains it has achieved so far, demand a ceasefire and declare that it will withdraw its troops from Ukraine.
The intensification of the war will increase the losses, not the gains, of Russia, and this swamp whirlpool it has entered will cause much greater damage to Russia.
