Let's Get to Know the Book of "Chaos and Dark War"

In warfare, the objectives must be consistent with the available means and other available means. Heading towards targets that are difficult and/or impossible to achieve will lead the country to disasters. History is full of such examples. War must be essential for the country that dares/will take it.

One of our STRASAM authors, Prof.Dr. The book titled "New Concept War, Chaos & Dark War", co-authored by Ali Poyraz GÜRSON and Retired Staff Colonel Salih GAMSIZ, is presented to readers by Nobel Publications today. We wanted to share this news with you.

Statements on the Back Cover of the Book:

War is not an armed struggle between two armies, it is a struggle in which states mobilize their forces, national power elements and all their means. Those who lead and manage the fronts and battles in wars should focus on the goals that they can reach by using the interests of their states and the available means, instead of their personal ambitions. In warfare, the objectives must be consistent with the available means and other available means. Heading towards targets that are difficult and/or impossible to achieve will lead the country to disasters. History is full of such examples. War must be essential for the country that dares/will take it.

Being ready for war, keeping the armies at a high level of readiness for war, deterring the enemy, which ensures the protection of the national interests of the country without entering into a hot conflict. The fact that armies are strong and always ready for war is not only for fighting but also for deterring their opponents. To protect the elements of national power before entering into a hot conflict, to deter the opposing side from its ambitions from the beginning in order to prevent the losses in the war; can provide solutions to problems through negotiations.

Wars became more and more deadly as technology and science developed. It will be necessary to remember that the first use of technological developments/inventions is weapon systems. Battlefields grew in depth and breadth, and sometimes spread across the country. Not only the combatants, but also the civilians outside the battlefield were affected, mass deaths occurred. Considering that technology is not in the hands of a single state, and that the enemies have stronger weapons; In the beginning, the powerful states started to make agreements about reducing weapons and not using them, and later on, they were not satisfied with these, and they developed new methods that would put the enemy in a difficult situation and wear out economically and socially.

Since it will be a kind of war if we make the enemy accept our will without the use of weapons, the future wars will be based on electronic systems, economic and political pressures, propaganda, cyber attacks, electronic jamming, artificial intelligence and unmanned vehicles, especially in space, air, land, rather than uniformed and organized armies on battlefields. It is thought that this will be done with uniformed and non-uniformed soldiers, with the use of naval and submarine platforms.

The effects of the Ukrainian war will not be limited to the region and will also show its effect in other conflict regions where Russia is involved. The Ukraine war will be the beginning of rebuilding the new world order and the European security architecture. The economic reflections of the war will show its effect in Eastern European countries and in our country. By using NATO, the USA will continue its role as the global gendarme, with the support of the EU and the UK politically.

Saynur Tezel (Tan) wrote the Introduction of the Book:

"Si vis pacem, para bellum."

“If you want peace, prepare for war.”

The phrase "Si vis pacem, para bellum" - "If you want peace, prepare for war", pointing to one of the most bitter contradictions of humanity in the search for peace, was used by Vegetius, who lived in the last period of the Roman Empire, in his work "De Re Militari" ("On Military Service"). It has been nearly 1700 years since it was written.

Although it is questioned that human beings have not found a better way to coexist peacefully than other living things - brute force and the threat of destruction - despite the intelligence that makes them indisputably superior to other life forms and the ruler of the planet, Sun Tzu, Roman Emperor Hadrian We are at a time when this phrase, which has been quoted countless times by major figures in history, from George Washington to Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan, who led the Soviet Union to collapse without firing a shot and ended the Cold War, is being retested.

However, for peace, it is not enough to define the "New Concept War", which is the last page in the history of war, which is as old as humanity.

Written from this perspective, “New Concept War - Chaos and Dark War” offers its readers an important opportunity with its topicality focusing on the latest war and conflict areas.

Azerbaijan's "Battle for the Homeland" (27 September – 10 November 2020), which ended the 30-year occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia, and the biggest invasion in Europe since the second world war, Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula in 2014. The book, which also analyzes the attack launched on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, contains striking predictions about the new world order.

Especially for Turkey, which has been placed at the very center of the maps that have shaped the theories of almost all geopoliticians, from Rudolf Kjellen (1864-1922), the father of geopolitics, who examines the advantages and disadvantages of the geographical location to the states.

In these days when we are witnessing history, she sheds light on my publications with the value and guidance she adds, interprets the day we live as more than a number on the calendar, as a projection of history with its before and after, looking at the region it examines not on the map, but from space in a global integrity, and not only anticipating the possible conflict, but also dealing with the risks and opportunities it creates. distilling Prof. Dr. Written by Poyraz Gürson and Retired Staff Colonel Salih Gamsız, this book is an extremely important work for everyone, not just for journalists trying to understand and explain the present and shed light on the future.

While experiencing the privilege of opening the new curtain in wars, which have been the source of groundbreaking developments in technology, science and medicine for centuries, as well as the greatest destructions, with the experience of two cadets, I commemorate the greatest cadet leader, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with respect, gratitude and mercy.
