Free Life

Bees like to roam freely from flower to flower, from flower to flower. Why is that? Because freedom is a beautiful thing!

You will live life like a honey bee, my friend!

This flower is yours, that flower is mine, your only concern will be to collect essence from flowers.

Okay, but then you'll have to keep travelling from flower to flower! Will you have that much strength?

Why do bees make honey?

In winter, when there are no flowers, they stay in the hive to eat.

So honey is actually the bees' winter food.

So why do they make so much honey? Can't they just make enough honey for themselves in winter?

Then, as far as I know, they don't keep the drones alive that much, I guess for population balancing, they kill the drones themselves by stinging them after they are done.

The most important population in the hive is the worker bees. It is the worker bees that go from flower to flower and collect honey from nature.

Did you know that these worker bees also collect pollen from flowers?

Honey bees have pollen baskets on their hind legs, and in addition to the flower essence they collect by sucking, they also bring flower pollen to the hive with the baskets on their feet.

Another piece of information is that there are more than twenty thousand bee species in the world.

When I think of honey in Turkey, I know Kars honey.

Also, chestnut honey from Trabzon is famous.

Also, a honey we bought from Marmaris region was very tasty, I think it was the flower honey there.

Apart from that, most honey types are called pine honey, honey from pine forests.

There are many types of honey in Russia too, but I won't go into the honeys from there now.

It is summer and I think the second round of honey production has started.

I think three rounds of honey can be harvested from spring to autumn.

Honey prices have increased a lot, but bees are very important for the balance of nature. Honey is also an important food source for us.

There is much more to write about bees and honey, but when I saw the bees travelling from flower to flower here, I felt a sense of joy.

As far as I know, there are no beekeepers in our neighbourhood, in fact there are mostly wasps. But these are honey bees. Sometimes honey bees make their own nests in nature. Their nests can even be under the soil or something.

No, no, I'm not going to look for their nests for no reason. I can buy honey from the market. I even have some honey at home.

What I like, as I wrote at the beginning, is that they wander freely from flower to flower, from flower to flower.

Freedom is a beautiful thing!

Stay free, liberate yourself!

(Note: this is not a political message! I am really talking about freedom, I don't want to be misunderstood).

Love and respect to everyone from Moscow.
