Optimum means the most suitable, the most favorable!

Some things you can't handle alone, and some things you can't handle with a large crowd. You have to find the right solution for each situation. There is an optimum working group that can do every job. One of the things we engineers do in our working life is to find the optimum.

There are two different discourses;

One: Where there are many, there is ...

The other: One hand is better than two.

Let's try to find out which of these two idioms is more correct.

As an engineer, I will try to find a solution from an engineering point of view.

Let's say we have about a thousand pieces of something and we don't know the exact number, we need to count it.

How can we count it the fastest?

Let's say we are in the age of technology and we have a calculator, in fact let's have helpers, each of them should have a calculator. In what order can we count the fastest?

It will take some time to press the keys of the calculator each time. So the total time will be determined by the keystroke time.

The first thing we can do is to take everything in front of us and count them one by one on our own. For example, we could press the number "one" on the calculator for each item and then press the "+" key. So we would have to press "one" a thousand times and then press "+" a thousand times. Okay, even if we press the "=" key instead of the "+" key after the last piece, the result is the same, we have to press the key two thousand times.

Let's make a little more sense, I can perceive this from the beginning. If I give half of the pieces to an assistant, if we both press the keys at the same time, five hundred times "one" and five hundred times "+", the time will be approximately halved. I say "approximately" because in order to get the result, I would have to add the number my assistant found after the last "+" key I pressed on my calculator. I can get the result by pressing three more keys for five hundred and then pressing the last "=" key. With five hundred "one", five hundred "+", one "5", two "0" and the last "=" key, I can get the result with 1004 keystrokes.

This means that if I had one more helper, I could reach the result in an even shorter time. With 333, 333, and 334 distributions, I can reach the result with 674 keystrokes in total.

Let's imagine that I have one more helper. With a distribution of 250,250,250,250,250, the result can be obtained with 512 keystrokes. With a distribution of 249,249,249,251,251,251, it is possible to reach the result in even less time with 510 keystrokes.

Doesn't it make more sense to have 999 helpers in this case?

No, it doesn't. Because each of my helpers can count what they have with two keystrokes, but since I then have to enter the result of each of them one by one, the time is even longer after a certain number of helpers.

If we put some thought into calculating the shortest time in this way, maybe by organizing the helpers into subgroups, we can find the optimum way to count a thousand items in the shortest time. I don't want to go into deep math right now, the shortest time I can find is 151 keystrokes and 23 helpers. By making subgroups among the helpers, maybe the result can be found in a shorter time. I didn't want to try any further. If there is an expert among us, please tell me the right solution.

But it seems that I cannot reach the result in the shortest possible time, neither alone nor with 999 helpers.

From this engineering point of view, I can say that both of the statements I mentioned at the beginning are correct.

That's how it works, if you want to achieve success you have to find the optimum. This rule applies to everything, to life, to politics.

Some things you can't handle alone, and some things you can't handle with too many people. You have to find the right solution for each situation. There is an optimum working group that can do every job. One of the things we engineers do in our working life is to find the optimum.

Let me give an example from life, so that you can understand what I mean better. In order to get the taste of soup right, you need to put enough salt and spices in it, and you also need to get the consistency right while cooking. Some recipes use the term "enough", and to know "enough" you need experience.

At the moment, my understanding is that neither the government nor the opposition can make a delicious soup. Maybe the bottom of the pot is on fire in both of them, maybe there is a bubbling coming from the pots, but everyone has doubts about the flavor of the soup being cooked. I have not been able to smell such a delicious soup for a long time.

For some reason, one side favors those who do not have to be competent, but who do not do anything without being instructed by those in power.

The other, with its crowded staff, sometimes plays into the government's hands and spreads meaningless controversies on the agenda. Sometimes personal statements, no matter how innocent they may be, can be open to abuse by those in power. This situation causes the opposition to boil within itself, while the government tries to cover its mistakes with rabbits pulled out of a hat with the breath provided by this chaos.

The result is a pot that cannot boil in the homes of low-income people. On top of that, the refugee problem that threatens our future inside the country due to the unplanned and uncontrolled immigration from our southern and eastern borders, and moreover, a terrorist problem on our southern borders that has now exceeded the threat level due to the mistakes made once upon a time with the gas of America. As for foreign policy, there are already unmanageable problems. Even Greece has been provoking provocations for some time now with the power it receives from its owner. You already know what is happening in Armenia. All these external problems around us and more, in my opinion, are happening because of our weaknesses in governance.

If we could have a steep stance like we had in the time of Gazi, who would dare! I think those who would take a wrong step would think about it first, I think they would act accordingly, fearing Turkey's reaction.

The state of the domestic economy is already obvious. I always say that managing the domestic economy requires expertise, and the state has enough apparatus at its disposal to maintain the balance of income. The issue is about choices. If you have limited resources, you direct them according to your preferences. What the government is doing now is not about balanced income distribution. If there is already inflation in a country, it means that the state is allowing the pockets of the low-income to shrink even further. There is no other equivalent for this. Unfortunately, what is being done now for the so-called solution is nothing more than an eyewash. Saving the day, nothing more. I am not going to criticize everything that has been done, but every move made without calculating the end result does nothing but postpone the problems to the future. Neither currency-protected deposit accounts, nor bridges and roads with toll guarantees, nor social housing projects with twenty-year maturities are solutions that are necessary today. They are all postponing problems to the future. That's why such solutions make me approach everything with a reserve. First of all, we need to get out of debt, but nobody has a solution for that. That's why it seems to me that future generations will not forgive us.

The opposition, on the other hand, despite all the well-intentioned moves, does not seem to me to be taking firm steps forward yet. I can say that one of the main reasons for this view is that there is a voice from every head. But more importantly, the plans are not explained well enough. Even though the discourse of halalization sounds good, I don't understand what is beyond that. Even if everyone makes peace with each other, the problems are still in our laps. How will we solve all these problems? I can see that the current government, with its actions so far, has caused us more trouble than the previous ones did. The opposition's still shaky unity scares me.

If success is desired, in my opinion, the experts in the opposition should first come together and decide what is the most appropriate way of doing things, what kind of organization would solve the problems in the shortest time and in the most correct way, how to cook this soup. Each issue should be evaluated only by experts, public statements should be made only by authorized persons, and more importantly, the solutions to the problems should be decided together and the solutions should be explained to the public one by one.

Beyond the vicious debates on who will be the leader, Turkey has more important problems ahead of it and everyone is wondering what the opposition's perspective is on these problems.

In essence, what I am trying to say is that neither one hand has a voice, nor should there be too many. Enough! This is the most appropriate, I think the right thing.

Come on, hurry up, there is not much time left, announce your program, your solutions to the problems, your staff, all these issues as soon as possible.

Even though it sounds nice to say that we will embrace everyone, sometimes everyone means the dry crowd. Success can only be achieved with optimum staff. Anything more will get in the way. Since you are not alone, I think the priority should be to find the optimum.

Love and respect to everyone from Moscow.
