Flying an airplane, looking at life from above

How life changed when man made the airplane, right? Before airplanes, though, we started flying in balloons. From the basket of a balloon, how beautiful the view from up above looks down below.

Look what a wonderful waterfall there.

Look, look, there's a lake there, with migratory birds.

How beautiful the clouds look from here, like cotton balls.

The sun looks much brighter than this airplane!

There are so many buffalo down there!

How life changed when man made the airplane, right?

Before airplanes, though, we started flying in balloons.

From the basket of a balloon, how beautiful the view from above must be.

I have never been on a balloon trip.

Except for my airline flights, I have never flown in a sightseeing plane or helicopter to see the view from above.

But of course I have seen many aerial views of the earth from movies or videos on the internet.

We used to go up to the Ostankino tower, and from there you have a good view down below.

And if there is a beautiful view down from a high place, it is a pleasure to watch.

But I think it is very different to see the view from airplanes.

I recently rewatched an old movie with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford called "My Africa", originally "Out of Africa".

I like to watch old movies again sometimes.

There were some beautiful landscapes from Africa in the movie.

This movie tells the life of a European lady, a Danish baroness, who marries in the early 19th century and goes to live a farm life in Africa. Those years were also the years of the First World War. But the movie is not a war movie.

Of course, the imperialist British mentality and the propaganda of British expansionism can be considered as unpleasant aspects of the movie.

Still, it's a good movie.

7 Oscars!

The plot of the movie is not so important, but the scenes from Africa, the shots of the wildlife in Africa are really beautiful.

There are also snapshots of the life of the local people, the natives, and I must say that these were much more interesting to me.

I won't tell you more details about the movie, maybe some of you haven't seen it even if it's an old movie, no spoilers now.

I recommend it, watch it if you haven't seen it, it's a good movie.

As I said, the First World War was taking place in between, so we are talking about the years when the simple propeller-driven airplanes were still in use.

In the movie, Robert Redford takes Meryl Streep on an airplane ride in a two-seater he acquired.

Mostly in those scenes, there are scenes of wildlife in Africa, shot from above.

At the beginning of this article, I wrote what I remembered from that airplane ride.

Yes, I think airplanes have changed our lives a lot.

It took a lot of work for man to be able to fly.

And finally, the Wright brothers were given this honor.

The Wright Brothers made the first flight with a controllable engine on December 17, 1903 in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

Aside from the fact that airplanes now allow us to travel long distances easily and in a short time, I think the real benefit of airplanes is that we can look at the world from much higher up.

With airplanes, we can see things far away that we would not normally be able to see with our eyes. We can perceive what is where much more easily by looking from above.

Compared to the old times, our perspective and vision has widened a lot.

I think ancient people did not have such a broad perspective on life as they do today. The old people were much more confined to the place where they lived.

In the past, it was possible to see around as much as we could see from a high place.

I don't think it was that easy to visualize every single place, a whole city, for example, a vast expanse of land.

That's why people had a much narrower view of life.

Nowadays, it is possible to see every inch of the world from above.

Even from space, we can take a round picture of the whole world.

This allows the human mind to work in a much different way.

I don't think I will be able to take a trip in a small old airplane after this age.

But maybe one day I will get the chance to take a balloon ride.

It is a bit expensive, but balloon rides are very expensive, especially in Cappadocia. Balloon rides are only available in touristic places and the prices are more affordable for tourists.

But I think everyone should see the earth from the basket of a balloon at least once.

It must be quite exciting to watch the view from inside the basket of a balloon while the wind blowing high up in your face.

I should definitely save my money and take a balloon ride somewhere one day.

As technology advances, our view of the world expands, but at the same time we seem to become more and more greedy.

If it is possible to do this or that, why shouldn't I do it, don't you think?

Especially the greed for money has blinded us all.

Even if we have enough money, for some reason we want much more.

Even the richest ones do what they do for money, money, money.

I'd decided not to go into this, though. This issue of soccer players being cheated.

They did it to themselves. They left me with nothing to say.

Still, even this is an indication of where we've come from.

We're greedy, we can't get enough. We want so much more.

We want yachts, floors, private planes. If we have one, we want three.

And then someone comes along and swindles us.

They did it themselves, they found it themselves. Don't believe what anyone says, they are all guilty in their own way.

At least I don't think any of them are involved in this without knowing it. Their greed for money led to their disgrace.

Yes, all of them, including the one who said, "Don't drag my name into this," have been disgraced!

That's what I think.

Even my dream of going on a balloon ride seems to me now to be too much of an aspiration. Mine is an innocent desire, but it's still too much for a normal person's lifestyle.

But one way or another, not everyone lives a simple life.

Some people live a lifestyle that is superior to the majority.

In this sense, even when those poor African natives called the British "master" in the movie, it touched my heart.

While the imperialist and capitalist world is doing things for the good of humanity, it is also destroying lives and cultures.

Today there is no state in Africa that was not once a colony of European states.

They are still de facto colonial states.

After watching the movie again, I thought how different life was once upon a time.

How innocent things used to be.

Whichever channel I turn on, this time they are talking about soccer players and this fraud story. All the details of the trivial incident have been revealed.

Once again, the whole press has caught a tabloid topic! They are stomping and stomping on it.

***

When are we going to get better?

When will we have an innocent and calm life like we used to have?

At this rate, I think there is no going back. We seem to be in the middle of a stage of social degeneration.

There's probably no going back.

This fraud incident is the tip of the iceberg, who knows what is going on in my beautiful country that remains in the dark and never comes to the agenda.

The government has brought us back to this state!

Yes, the government is also to blame, but the problem is much bigger.

The salt stinks! Society has lost its moral level. Immorality and unconsciousness have spread like a virus.

Even the smartest of us are caught in the web of fraudsters without even thinking.

Don't blame it all on them.

Imagine, what would you do if someone came to you and said, "Look, I will give you a 25% return in dollar terms in a month, give me all the money you have"?

If it wasn't just anyone who said that?

Your answer proves that I am right!

Anyway, let me end this article by saying that for those who haven't seen it, you should definitely watch the movie.

It's a good movie. 7 Oscars!

Love and respect to everyone from Moscow
