Liberation of Izmir and Tarkan's Concert

The liberation of Izmir from enemy occupation was celebrated with a magnificent organization. The celebrations, including the Tarkan concert, were magnificent. With two million participants, the concert entered the world rankings. I watched the celebrations on the internet. I am proud.

I look at the news today, the celebrations are mentioned with pride. Many press organizations have written good news.

So far everything is very good. But one thing caught my attention.

Yes, the metropolitan municipality is in the hands of the Republican People's Party. The metropolitan municipality also made the organization. But this year's celebrations are 100th anniversary celebrations. For some reason, there were no state officials at the celebrations. It was a deficiency. It didn't look good.

Then I look at the news a little more. Suddenly I feel like boiling water poured over my head. A mentality that says what celebration, they liberated the city without firing a single bullet. An understanding that says conquests are celebrated, what is celebrating the liberation of a city?

What kind of mentality is this? What kind of mentality is this? How can we imagine a future together if we don't rejoice in our history together?

Why are you absent from the celebrations? Where is the head of state of this country? Am I wrong, isn't Izmir a part of this homeland? Don't you feel the enthusiasm I feel?

There was once a madman who wandered around with a fez on his head. He said he wished the Greeks had won. I don't want to believe it was so, but I wonder, "Are you of the same mind?" They supposedly left the city without a bullet being fired.

Look at the point of view!

This statement is disrespectful to all the people and veterans who lost their lives and martyred for their homeland in the War of Independence.

I am ashamed that there is even one person in this country who can hold this view and I condemn this statement with all my heart!

The state officials, on the other hand, not only do not condemn this statement, they do not even participate in the celebrations. This is unbelievable!

What does that mean? That you agree with this view? Do you?

Okay, some people sent a dry message, but that's all. It's as if it was forced, it's so devoid of emotion. I don't know what to say. Some didn't even send a message. They deemed even a message unnecessary.

I don't know what to say. How can these people elect these people? How could they have kept them in power for so many years? This nation cannot have lost all its discernment. They cannot have become so blind. I really can't believe it.

I once wrote in an article that society is being pushed to the breaking point. That article was written from an engineering point of view, but I think this issue is also a candidate to be one of the breaking points.

Izmir is a distinguished city, you may consider other issues specific to the city to the people of the city, but the liberation of Izmir from enemy occupation is not a liberation story that belongs only to Izmir in terms of its meaning.

September 9th is the date of the liberation of our country from enemy occupation.

It is the date when the enemy was thrown into the sea, the date of a break for the enemy.

Then, one by one, it is the beginning of the liberation of Edirne on November 25th and the beginning of leaving our country.

Therefore, if you ask me, September 9th is actually a date that should be celebrated as a national holiday!

I think this country should be governed by cadres with this consciousness. And it will be so. I believe this with all my heart. No one should have the slightest worry about this!

They left the city without firing a bullet!

I'll keep my spirits up and listen to the Izmir Anthem one more time:

Flowers bloom on the mountains of Izmir / The golden sun sends out strings / The corrupted enemies flee like the wind.

Long live Mustafa Kemal Pasha! Long live! / Your name will be inscribed on the jewel stone / Long live Mustafa Kemal Pasha! Hurray!

Love and respect from Moscow to those who love their homeland.
