Understanding and Introducing Atatürk

Last November 10, we commemorated the founder of our Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. First of all, it is necessary to remind the following words of the Great Leader Atatürk: “To see me is not to see my face. If you understand my ideas, my emotions and feel, this is enough." We commemorate Atatürk for his commemoration, but how much do we understand?

Last November 10, we commemorated the founder of our Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
First of all, it is necessary to remind the following words of the Great Leader Atatürk: “To see me is not to see my face. If you understand my ideas, my emotions and feel, this is enough."
We commemorate Atatürk for his commemoration, but how much do we understand?
Of course, you have to read to understand. But the most crucial point; how much teachers can explain Atatürk to their students. We are witnessing very worrying events at this point today.
We are heartbroken by the examples of those who left their job, that is, education and training, lost among political posts and lynched that sacred profession. Just like in politics, we see teachers who set up unions with different views and blow insults in the name of struggle.
You see, some big professors (it is not clear how he became a professor) are hurling insults at Atatürk. In fact, the reason behind this insult is to be famous, to be favored by a certain political view, and to rise in office. Sometimes they also reach the goal.
What a pity…

Let's continue with a memory of Atatürk about teachers:
The teachers held a meeting in Ankara, and two or three teacher ladies attended this meeting and sat in a separate place in the hall.
The turbans of the council, who do not tolerate the teachers going to the meeting, go to Gazi to complain. The veteran said:
"Who is the teacher, the head of the society? Call him!” he says. When Mazhar Müfit came in a few minutes later, he scolded him in a booming voice:
''What did you teachers do at the meeting? What a shame.'' Mazhar Müfit is startled. Was this move expected from Gazi? The turbans laugh with victorious chastity. While the turbans are in joy, Gazi's voice continues in the same tone:
''It's okay, it's okay! Mazhar mufit is still standing and still confused about what to say, he tries to answer:
''I swear sir...''
"Let go, I know them all; You also invited the teachers to the meeting. But why did you put them in separate rows? Do you not trust yourself or the virtue of Turkish women? Let me not see such separation and unrighteousness again, do you understand?''

On November 24, we will celebrate Teachers' Day.
Every year, 24 November is celebrated as Teacher's Day in Turkey. This is a practice that started in 1981. November 24, 1928 is the day when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, accepted the "Head Teacher of the Nation Schools".
What did Atatürk say?
Ataturk; said mind.
Science said.
He said education.
He said he will come.
He said domestic production.
She said women's rights.
“Contemporary society,” he said.
Contemporary civilization, he said.
He always said always forward.
And he was never wrong, and he will never be wrong...
Would you tell? What's wrong with the above?
And tell me, to whom did he tell them?
Who falls first to fulfill these requirements?
Of course to the teachers...
We wish this Teacher's Day to be a new beginning.

We passed the teachers…
Well, how much did the Turkish nation understand Atatürk?
When we look at today, we observe that there is hardly any, and it hurts. New enmities are being produced against Atatürk's thought, insults are being poured out and targets are being deflected by the dark circles that are openly emerging today and think that recklessness is ingenuity. On the other hand, some people who are intellectuals abuse Atatürk and resort to self-justification over his thoughts. Once you see, the ideology he advocates has nothing to do with Atatürk.
It is a pity that a significant part of the Turkish Nation remains silent about all these happenings.
Atatürk's greatest gift to the Turkish Nation is the republic. Take a look around. If a Turkey that has not struggled in the mud of the Middle East's misery has survived until today, it has been thanks to Atatürk and the Republican regime.
It is necessary to be careful, to stand firm, to stand firmly on the ground. My country and my nation have many enemies both at home and abroad. We have been the nation that has raised the most enemies throughout history.
Understanding Atatürk means; it means to see his ideals, to see the ideas he has brought to life, to turn ideas into feelings. Unless these are achieved, the achievements of the republic and democratic life will be erased without being experienced.
Understanding Atatürk is the responsibility of falling in love with a geography, a country, a language, and a longing to do something good together.
To be able to do it together without breaking, spilling, conflict; To understand Atatürk is to be able to share both existence and non-existence.
Here is the state of today's politics where insults are flying in the air. Here is the situation of the educator who fights because of union fights and political views today.
First of all, these two institutions should understand Atatürk.
Stay well…
