Why Turkish people do not protect their Turkishness and their future?

The founders of the Republic of Turkey were Cultural Nationalist Turks who considered themselves "Turks", who felt themselves to be "Turks" and who could say "I am happy to be a Turk". This discourse is never blood racism, first of all this must be understood correctly. Because this country was founded by those who considered themselves Turks at that time. These are the Turks living in the territory of the Republic of Turkey.

Hunters were travelling through the forest under the leadership of Temel. They came across a small hole. Temel said: "Lie down, rabbit hole". They listened to Temel and lay down. A rabbit came out of the hole as Temel said. They hunted the rabbit and continued on their way. On the way, they saw a bigger hole. Temel said: "Lie down, it's a fox hole". They lay down again. They came across a fox, and they shot it too. Then they continued on their way. This time a much bigger hole appeared in front of them. Temel saw this big hole: "Lie down, bear," he shouted. They hunted the bear coming out of the big hole. The hunters enjoyed the comfort of Temel knowing everything. Their trust in him increased. After a while, they came across a much bigger hole. They all looked at Temel, and they would do what he said without a second thought. Temel said: "I don't know what's going to happen, you go to bed, whatever comes your way!"

The next day, the following news appeared in the headlines of the newspapers: "Four hunters trapped under a train"

Now you may be wondering why I am telling this joke. Let me tell you. Frankly speaking, I liken this joke to what we are going through in today's Turkey. As a nation, we seem to be heading towards a dark hole. It is not clear what we will come across, what our end will be. My rebellion, my cry stems from my concern for the future of my country. I cannot be sure where the rentier masses and organised ignorance, who think that they have a say in the fate and future of this country, are taking us. I hope that we will not end up like those hunters who trusted Temel and ended up under the train.

The biggest problem with the basic mentality blocking Turkey's way is that it is at odds with secularism and Kemalism. A mentality 'against the system established by the founding fathers' who founded this country 100 years ago has emerged and continues to do so. We, who are the children and grandchildren of the founding fathers who resisted imperialism, opposed the seven heights, and, in the words of Akif, won the victory over Greece 101 years ago by tearing the tooth of the one-toothed beast, now we do not like them like a bad prodigal. We are destroying the system they established with the argument that we are supposedly against imperialism. I ask you, was the fight against imperialism really fought 100 years ago or is it being fought now? I leave it to your judgement.

My opinion is that we should strictly adhere to the principles of populism, nationalism, secularism, secularism, statism, republicanism and ongoing reformism, which are the just grounds on which the holy struggle we fought 100 years ago was based, and the founding principles of the Republic of Turkey established afterwards. If we adhere to our founding principles, everyone living on this land today can benefit; those who produce and those who consume can gain strength together. Only in this way can the people rise up, awaken and be liberated. I believe that national forces must immediately unite against organised ignorance and liberate the country from the hegemony of this organised ignorance. If the choice is for the future of Turkey and the Turkish nation, the way forward is through steps towards enlightenment. When we consider this fact, the goal and purpose are clear: For the future, existence and peace of the Turkish nation, all national forces must be in solidarity. The founders of the Republic of Turkey are Turks who consider themselves to be "Turks", who feel themselves to be "Turks", who say and can say "I am happy to be a Turk". This discourse is never blood racism, this must first and foremost be understood correctly. Because this country was founded by those who considered themselves Turks at that time. These are the Turks living in the territory of the Republic of Turkey. As in the past, those who will uproot the Turkish people from the swamp of organised ignorance and rentier mentality in which we find ourselves today will also be the soldiers of the Turkish people living in these lands.

A unifying mentality that does not discriminate, that is well-intentioned, that knows every Turkish citizen who is loyal to the homeland, the flag and the state, will do this. In fact, there is no other solution and option in front of us! Otherwise, everyone will perish in this swamp.

It should be known that without Turkey, neither the Middle East nor the world will have peace. The saying "If you ignore the Turks, there will be no world history to be written" actually expresses this simple truth. I do not understand why Turkey is made a pawn for imperial projects. If you choose the wrong place for Turkey and Turks, wrong results will be inevitable. The Turk is at the centre of history and must be from now on. Temporary aspirations are doomed to rise as soap bubbles and disappear. Anatolia became the homeland of the Turks with the pioneering Turks. The historical beginning of this is the time tunnel of "before and eternity". Those who are hostile to the Turks must be reminded of this. Allowing the border changes to be made in the Middle East geography means allowing Turkey to be erased from the world map. Do you consent to this?

Anatolian lands have always been a home for thousands of years, from ancient times to the present day. Various powers have ruled in these lands. But today these lands are the homeland of us Turks. Our ancestors drew the borders of this homeland with their blood and entrusted it to us. We will protect it at the cost of our blood and hand it over to our children and grandchildren. This has been the case for more than a thousand years, and it will be the case today and tomorrow. We will leave this homeland to our grandchildren, not to someone else's grandchildren. Foreign hands cannot and will not rule over the rose-scented fields of Anatolia until we die.

The founders of this country did not wait for anyone's permission to light the torch of liberation in Samsun on 19 May and to drive the enemy into the sea on 9 September. They brought the enemy into line with weapons. They built the Turkish nation identity with Turkish common culture and heritage. They built the Turkish state life on the most modern republican structure by looking at the examples in the world. They made the necessary reforms to reach the level of contemporary civilisation. They set an example for the Turkish people. They established factories for economic development. Whatever was necessary in the conditions of that time, they did it based on the own resources and people of this country. They supported agriculture and animal husbandry, and crowned the peasants. They built a brand new future for the Turkish people who were tired and exhausted due to the wars that had been going on for decades, who were prisoners of ignorance, doomed to epidemics and suffering from all these. Finally, they brought peace and prosperity to the people of the country. From a ruined and desolate country, they established a Republic that the whole world envies.

Why can't a Turkish nation that did these things in the past do it again today? Why can't it stand up again? Who is preventing us and who can prevent us? Isn't it time for us to wake up from our deep sleep as a nation? I believe it is. Let us stop blessing the rentier mentality, organised ignorance, and stop seeing only those with money in their pockets as men. This is not the Turkish heritage and culture. This corrupt mentality will take us nowhere. Every wrong step we take for the sake of money leads us astray and makes us ready to be fed to big states with an imperial mentality. Is there not an idealist mass, a group of people with conviction left in this nation to see this? Where are those who truly shout "Happy to be a Turk!"? Have you all been buried in dead soil? Or do you also want to be a part of this organised ignorance that has lost the concept of homeland for the sake of getting a share of the rent? I don't want to believe this. Even if I am the only one left, I say "Happy to be a Turk" and I invite you to do the same and do what it takes to be a Turk. Wake up and protect the future of this country before it is too late.

With respect and love
