As the Curtain Is Raised in Kazakhstan
You may have heard that the famous Italian Tenor Enrico Caruso (1873-1921) broke a glass by raising his voice rhythmically while singing. Undoubtedly, there is a scientific explanation for this phenomenon. What's that?
You may have heard that the famous Italian Tenor Enrico Caruso (1873-1921) broke a glass by raising his voice rhythmically while singing. Undoubtedly, there is a scientific explanation for this phenomenon. What's that? This situation is expressed with “resonance” or “resonatic phenomenon”, remember? How can I say, the process of initiating other vibrations that are compatible with itself, no matter what sound it creates, is perceived as a typical resonatic phenomenon. It was very scientific, wasn't it? It is possible to express this event, which took place in a similar way, as follows. Maybe you've seen in movies that opera singers break glasses using their voices, and you've also watched the soldiers marching with proper steps shake huge bridges from videos published on social media. Why did I feel the need to make such an introduction, dear readers? The chain of events that followed one after another in Kazakhstan inevitably reminded me of the resonatic phenomenon.
It really is, isn't it? Doesn't it seem to you that the social events that started as a "reaction to the price hikes in fuel" in Kazakhstan are the result of a resonant phenomenon? Sir, the oil hike after the global epidemic, which has gone up to the omicron variant that has been going on for two years, can be considered normal in the west, maybe in countries like us – it is not very accepted, but it does not cause social events, but in a country of riches like Kazakhstan, the events have come to this level. Let's note that it does not cause much good. Why, but the growth of events can hardly be understood, a question constantly hangs in the mind. Why? The reason is obvious. Why couldn't the events in Kazakhstan be ended and the Russian Army had to intervene in Kazakhstan as it intervened in Eastern European countries during the Cold War War? Going even further, is this a new Russian ploy? We might as well say. Shouldn't you ask then? What does it mean for the RF to postpone issues such as the Ukraine tension between the EU(D) and NATO, and the Belarusian migrant crisis and show power in Kazakhstan? It is more correct to say that those who can understand should come forward and come forward. Or did Russia use or seize an opportunity? Are the events in Kazakhstan a manifestation of the Eurasian attitude towards NATO? What do I know, with a manipulation by the West, Russia did not intervene in Ukraine, but in Kazakhstan, where the Baikonur Cosmodrome is located, against both the EU(D) and the PRC by showing its teeth? Why China? The issue of PRC stems from the upbringing of President Kasım Cömert Tokayev and the interpretation of his stance, which has recently become more evident. The current President Tokayev, who was educated in Moscow during the Soviet era, was trained as a "Chinese expert" by the Russians at that time. Working at the China Desk as a professional officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tokayev also served several times in Beijing. Tokayev, who got along very well with China as a "Chinese expert", came closer to China after he became President, as the country that gets the most oil from Kazakhstan economically. Compared to the RF, it is also observed that the economic balance has clearly shifted to the PRC with the recent initiatives.
However, it is useful to remind one thing here that Putin first noticed this situation. At the 'Valday 2019' meeting held in Sochi on March 10, 2019, Tokayev said:
“Sometimes it is better not to have nuclear weapons, but on the other hand, to attract more investors to its economy, to maintain and develop good relations with all the states of the world, as Kazakhstan does in practice.” (1)
Upon his assessment, the President of the RF intervened: He described "Saddam Hussein thought exactly the same" (1), and this description almost exactly came true three years later. In the face of this perspective put forward by the new President Kasım Cömert Tokayev for the future, this depiction of Putin, which causes laughter by intervening, underlines a bare truth. He wanted to say, "Saddam Hussein thought so, but he disappeared in an instant."
As it can be seen, Putin has been evaluating almost every situation he has encountered since 2000, when he assumed power, with the paradigm of intelligence. Another striking meaning of this is that it reminds the newly elected President of the situation that could have happened three years ago. For this reason, the new President of Kazakhstan, Tokayev, had to make his first foreign visit to Russia.
In the meantime, let's say that the 'International Valday Thought Club' meetings, which are in a way an alternative to Davos, were organized by Russian media institutions led by the Russian News and Information Agency (Ria Novosti) in order to provide an environment for an international discussion and exchange of ideas on RF and its role in the world. It is a thought club founded in . The meetings of this club are mostly based on the old Warsaw Pact members participate.
The first reason why Putin showed his stick under this cloak should be seen by Nazarbayev as the parameters of the phenomenon of Turkification and nationalization on the way to Turan. The first of these is that Kazakhstan, which has continued to use the Cyrillic alphabet since 1940, like many former Soviet countries, decided to switch to the Latin alphabet in 2017 with the signature of the Founding President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Let's never forget, the Turkic Republics come from the practice of Bolshevism. Bolshevism and Russian chauvinism are so advanced that no former Soviet country is willing to give up on the Russian language, and Russian seems to be one of the founding actors of that state. For this reason, RF Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov felt the need to say: "These cases, which emerged as a result of Kazakhstan's transition to the Latin alphabet and supporting Turkish nationalism, are the result of foreign support aimed at developing narrow-minded nationalism and discrediting cooperation with Russia."
After the decision, the 'National Alphabet Commission' was established, and studies for the transition to the new alphabet were started across the country. Since then, it has become widespread in the country to write the names of streets, shops and pharmacies, especially government buildings, in Kazakh Turkish with the Latin alphabet. The last straw was the decision of Kazakhstan to switch from Cyrillic to Latin alphabet gradually, starting from 2023, in early 2021. (2nd)
When the uprising started, President Tokayev called the "Collective Security Treaty Organization", of which Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Belarus and Armenia are members, and the "Collective Security Treaty Organization", chaired by Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan, for help, and Putin listed the RF's proposal under three headings.
"- Let Russian be the official second language again,
- Russia should be given a military base,
- Autonomy should be granted to the Russian minorities living in Kazakhstan.
The second important issue is the evolution of geographical integrity into cultural integration. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the decision to change the name of "South Kazakhstan Province" to "Turkistan" and to move the provincial center to "Turkistan", that is, "Yesi". In the enthusiastic process experienced, the provincial center "Pir-i Turkistan", the city of Hodja Ahmet Yesevi, and the name of "Yesi", where his tomb is located, finally became integrated with the name "Pir-i Turkistan". It continued with Mansur Ata (d. 594/1197-98), the son of the known 'Arslan Bab's lineage, that is, the first caliph of Ahmet Yesevi. Born in Sayram and losing his parents, Ahmed was raised by his older sister, Gevher Hatun, and was discovered by Arslan Bab at a young age. (3)
Later, he migrated to Yesi, an Oghuz city, and was given the title of Yesevi after the city of Yesi. Let's not forget that Yathrib's name was Medina-yi Münevvere, the first city-state of Islam, which was shaped by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from the Hijrah.
The best work that President Nazarbayev has done after 29 years of such-and-such rule is the "Symkent, the provincial center of South Kazakhstan," which envisages the granting of metropolitan status, as well as the change of the name of the province to the province of Turkestan and the relocation of the provincial center to the city of Turkestan. and its regional structure issues” with a ceremony. In his speech at the signing ceremony, Nazarbayev pointed out that Shymkent, with a population of more than one million, was given metropolitan status and said, "The center of the Turkestan province will be the city of Turkestan, which has been the heart of the political and spiritual life of the Kazakh Khanate and the entire Turkic world for centuries."
Although Kazakhstan is one of the leading countries in the world in terms of underground and aboveground natural resources, why did the events start in this country like the "Arab Spring"? Yes, dear readers, Kazakhstan is indeed a country rich in oil, natural gas and precious metals. Naturally, shouldn't its people be prosperous? But isn't that a goose's foot? Don't you think of it too? For example, like the people of other oil-exporting countries like Iran, they make their own people benefit from this natural wealth. If this is the case, it may come to mind that oil is a price close to free, but this is not the case at all. These riches are operated by foreign companies. Eighty percent of the income goes to foreign companies, and the remaining twenty percent is only one percent left to the people who run the country, and the public out of all that wealth. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, as in other Central Asian Turkic Republics, Kazakhstan lost ninety-nine percent of its national income and became a country with an angry people who did not get their share of riches with a high level of subsistence. On top of that, he was kept under the same oppressive regime from the Soviet regime and still continues to be held. I always felt weird when I saw old Russian women trying to sell their broken fork just to buy a bite of bread in the market place of Almaty, which I went to in the 1990s.
I would criticize that these Russian grandmothers are not in the family like Matryoshkas, and I could not reconcile how low the Russian concept of family is with human rights.
As you know, the beginning of everything, the first starting point of everything is energy. The main resonatic phenomenon, the phenomenon that will show its effect like a domino, is oil. When you increase the price of oil from 60 tenge to 120 tenge, it will spread to almost everywhere and everything. The 'raise' is the last drop of the transition from widespread violence to popular uprising, the last straw is the last straw, the government reverses the decision to raise the price, but cannot stop the anger of the angry people, and is forced to resign. Undoubtedly, corruption is at the root of this oppressive regime that is visible, experienced and made to live by the people, and it has also played the most prominent role. Turkey is a country as big as three and a half, but wealth and poverty are together, oppression is at the forefront, corruption has been exposed, all the words in the people's vocabulary have been exhausted to express it. During the Soviet Union period, the oppressive regime was already dominant in Kazakhstan, the people could not get angry. However, the Kazakh word, which means adventurous-free, nomadic-migrant, is an Asian Turkish word. This long-lasting, kind of captivity made the "Kazakhstan Turk" angry. Azerbaijani Turks started a settled life in 1930, 90 years ago. Freedom and dignity were one of the distinctive characteristics of the people of Kazakhstan, just like Fidel Castro's homeland, Cuba. This was my first observation during my travels to East Turkestan in the 90s. Kazakhstan was the “Community of Angry People”. They also clearly hated the phenomenon of "brother", which was put forward by the Turks of Turkey after Russia. Those who took on this role had their share of this anger and badness. They were brave people with freedom in DNA molecules, they were against deception.
We've all seen and lived together. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who was affiliated with Moscow and grew up there like other Turkic Republics, was elected President, or more accurately, it became a compulsory option at the ballot box put before the people, presented in the democratic experience of the people. Just like the President of Azerbaijan, Russian Intelligence Service KGB General Heydar Aliyev, the political figure of Nursultan Nazarbayev was mandatory. By the way, interestingly enough, Putin was a lieutenant in the KGB, while Heydar Aliyev was the KGB General. Both had graduated from the KGB's school in St. Petersburg.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Kazakhstan, which gained its independence by getting rid of the centuries-long Russian occupation, has also known to increase its weight in Central Asia by reducing the pains of the transition period with a relatively rational and active policy compared to other Turkic Republics, despite encountering many problems in the early 1990s. However, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who was in the eyes of both the PRC and the RF, ruled the country from 1990 to 2019, keeping up with the old Soviet oppressive order, perhaps because his power did not allow, instead of moving to the black order, or rather the democratic order based on popular sovereignty. At the beginning of the country for 29 years, perhaps because he did not see anyone but the authoritarian regime and did not know anyone else, he preferred to govern his country as he saw it. But in the eyes of the people this is not the truth. The sayings are in such a high dimension that they have become narrated and epic. Kazakhstan has been ruled by the same person Nazarbayev for 29 years, and for three years he has been holding the ropes behind the scenes for 32 years. Is that all? It governs the EU(D), Russia, China, England, Turkey and Israel. On the other hand, the fact that the sun cannot be plastered with mud, that they added wealth to their wealth with their family and close circle, has taken a place in the memory of the people. Both the free market and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), both the Belt-road and the Turkish State Organization (TDT). Moreover, he is both the name of the capital city (Nur-sultan), and the leader of the ruling apparatus (Nur-otan), which does not receive less than 70 percent of the votes in every election, and El-basi (Bas-yuce). Nazarbayev showed himself off with great dexterity and replaced him with the current President Tokayev, who is a foreign bureaucrat, but the people still know that he is in charge. That's why the rebellious people use the same slogan in common: "Get old man!..." "Get", that is, "go!.." "Old man" is none other than Nazarbayev. (4)
That's why his statues are demolished, and those who can't be demolished are made to bow before the people and kiss the ground. People do not want a 'Turkish Spring' that will turn into a 'Turkish Winter', it is announced, dear readers.
