What is happening on the Russia-Ukraine line? (TRT Radio Live Broadcast)
As seen in Ukraine, we are facing a world where ethnic differences will be used in this way. In this respect, caution must always be exercised in every region.
Announcer: We would like to start with an overview of what is happening on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
Author: Today 9 September is the liberation of Izmir, I congratulate all our people and the Turkish nation on this achievement. We have achieved a great success as a country.
The events that we, as Turkish people, experienced almost 100 years ago are being experienced by Ukraine, Russia and Gaza today and it seems that they will be experienced in the future.
First of all, Russia, Ukraine and Crimea are very important for the USA. If you ask why it is important; the US wants to somehow suppress Iran. If it can do it through the Black Sea, Georgia-Armenia, if it can, it wants to go down to the south of the Caspian Sea and somehow control the area around the city of Qom, where Iran's missile facilities are located, with its naval forces in the south of the Caspian Sea behind Azerbaijan. Because he believes that Iranian missiles from this region threaten Israel and its troops in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said on a Fox News special with his US counterpart Antony Blinken: ‘You spend an extra 10% on your defence budget and with the courage of the Ukrainians you destroy 50% of Russia's pre-war defence equipment and army. Without the Americans and the British losing their lives. By saying that this is a great investment, it seems that this business, this war, has been going on in a planned way since the beginning and will continue from now on.
Why; because if Russia had not coped with the Ukrainian forces in Ukraine, it would have been more active in Gaza today. It would have started to put pressure on Israel with Iran, Hamas in the region, and other units close to it, and Syria. But the great powers that control the world, seeing this situation, are trying to control the whole world communication in the Suez canal, which is the fibre optic, fibre silk road through which the world trade and world communication passes, while keeping Russia busy in Ukraine for their plans to keep Russia away from this region somehow.
A war cannot be fought only with bombs, people and missiles. In other words, there is a technological side, a money side, a trade side, an economic side, international organisations, there are many ways. There is also the organisation of unions, individuals, groups within nations. For this purpose, the West has activated the Azov battalions, especially in Ukraine. That is, they are developing groups there with the mentality of the old Nazi troops. They are trying to somehow eliminate Russia and the groups supported by Russia, and at the same time, with the Russia-Ukraine war, they are trying to prevent Russia's intervention in Crimea, to prevent Russia's control of the Kerch Strait, and to prevent Russia's control in the Black Sea. Therefore, the recent wars are one of the most interesting events that the world has experienced in recent years. Countries are no longer using their own soldiers, they are trying to rule the countries in the regions they want in the world through various armed groups such as Ukraine and Hamas.
The Azov battalion in Ukraine is one of them. It was first established in 1982 as the Azov special operations detachment. Its term or symbol is the letter Z with a line in the middle. When the war in Ukraine started, we saw the letter Z without a line on Russian tanks, meaning that the Russians signalled that they would somehow oppose this by saying no, we do not accept a Nazi type of organisation in this region.
How we saw this as a country; we were brought to a point where some people were brought to a point where some people killed their brothers and sisters with some temptations such as the Turkish Kurdish problem or ethnic religious problems in our country, especially the right and left problem in the past, today the PKK Kurdish problem. Although Turkey's recent operations in Northern Iraq and Northern Syria, such as the Olive Branch Peace Spring, have tried to prevent this, the main issue is that some countries in the world today are economically dependent on the Middle East, especially in some countries, especially the Suez canal, through which 30% of the world's trade passes, and the canals planned to be planned afterwards, plus Europe and America, who want to cut Russia's oil and natural gas dependence, are in need of the Middle East in some way, and this means that some countries there, if we open a door from here, that is, from the Middle East, we will be very rich in trade, It led to the idea that we can control the world and it continues in this way.
We had seen the first example of this in the Ottoman Empire. The enmity of the Fahd family against the Ottoman Empire, and then the fact that these things went further in the Ottoman Empire and that people like Lawrence of Arabia and Gertrude Bell somehow provoked the people in that region against the Ottoman Empire, and in the same way, the revolts that started in Greece in the Peloponnese, Cyprus, Crete, and so on, that is, the issues that continue in this way, that is, the imprisonment of the Ottoman Empire or the Turkish or somehow Turkish elements in the region continues. Why because the region is very rich in terms of oil, because the region is very rich in terms of trade.
There are also my articles on Gaza and beyond on the STRASAM website. When we investigate Gaza and beyond in history, since the Egyptian society and even since the Hittites, no society that could not conquer Gaza has been a world society. In other words, Gaza is at such a point that it has become a place where, like Deli Dumrul, 5 sums are taken from those who pass and 10 sums are taken from those who do not. In other words, whoever controls Gaza controls 30 of the world trade today.
In this sense, Turkey's silk railway connections with China, Russia and Europe, its oil and gas connections with Russia, as well as the connections to the Mediterranean via Mosul and Kirkuk make Northern Iraq and Northern Syria important for us, Turkey, and Gaza and the Suez Canal important for the world.
This means that the recent bombing of Israeli, Greek and British ships coming to the Suez Canal by the Houthis caused the trade to pass through the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, the southernmost part of Africa. This means that an average ship travels at sea for 40 more days. In other words, it now takes about 2 months for goods from China, India, Japan or the Philippines to reach Europe, Italy, France, Greece or Israel. Of course, as the time is prolonged, transport and freight charges change and increase, and the value of the goods increases. Considering that 30 per cent of world trade and 30 per cent of world oil exports are made through the Suez Canal, these are very large figures. And the region will be constantly suppressed by terrorist organisations supported by various countries, including the PKK YPG, and unrest in the country will be brought to the last level.
If you can appreciate; even the discussions of former American presidents Trump and Barak Obama, in which they accused each other by referring to Barak Obama, that you founded ISIS and I did not, are valuable for us in this sense.
While we are trying to do some things in the region under better conditions due to better education conditions, drought and heat, while our people, our country and the poor people in the region, who have a lot of war experience in the past, are trying to do some things under better conditions due to drought and heat, the arrival of these issues necessarily affects both the control of the region, the development of the economy and the development of the cultural and educational levels of the people.
How do we see this in recent years? We see it in the migrations coming to our country from Iran, Iraq, Egypt and Africa. It seems to us that the effect of this will continue for many more years.
The other side of this, of course, is that while we were experiencing these issues, these events started in the former Yugoslavia. Serbs, Bosnians and Albanians went against each other. Why? In order to control the ethnic forces in the region, in other words, to remove the Russians from the region and to eliminate the Muslims, we have seen many wars and massacres of people. These are likely to continue even more. Why? Because when people start to come together, they either take away their weapons, or they disintegrate them, divide their families or try to seize their economic facilities. The only purpose of this is to take complete control of the region. Especially in this recent period, the fact that China has shown an economic growth phase and has taken advanced steps in both economy, trade and technology seriously worries America.
For this reason, Kamala Haris, who is the vice-president today, but the presidential candidate of the future, wants to establish good relations with India and wants to see India on her side in any possible struggle with China in the future. In fact, another issue is trying to confine China to its own sphere by pressurising Russia. However, in this period, Russia's relations with China, Korea and Iran, and the region's new structuring under the name of BRICS can be considered as an indicator of the world's efforts to breathe, to live, that is, to get rid of intensive care.
While all these events are taking place, of course, the groups that have gained the most in the world have been the groups that produce weapons. In other words, America, Germany, England, France and the UK have intensively helped Ukraine. As far as we have seen in the latest news, even F16s were given. And some of these F16s were shot down by the Russians.
The purpose of all this is to create a malaria disease there by putting people into a one-to-one struggle, and as a result of malaria, to force the Russians to do certain things. Not only the Russians, but also the Chinese, not only the Chinese, but also the European Union, and everyone who is against him in the European Union. But today, when we look at the European Union, there is no longer Russia on their side to buy natural gas and oil. Therefore, Russia has been and will continue to sell its natural gas and oil to China in all kinds of ways. There will be no loss of income. But Europe needs energy, natural resources and manpower to survive. In Europe, for some reason, due to the recent decrease in natural resources and the low human birth rate, these needs are increasing even more.
Announcer: Hodja, we are doing very well, but we have a few more questions in our minds. Obviously, we would like to ask them too. On 26 August, the Ukrainian General Staff announced that one of the F16s flying on a mission to repel the missile attack crashed and the pilot lost his life. At the end of the investigation, it was announced that the Ukrainian F16 was shot down by Ukrainian forces and Zelensky dismissed the commander of the Air Force, Mikola Oleschuk. Now, is Ukraine showing weakness in using its hard-earned strategic weapons here? I would like to ask whether the short-term trainings given to the Ukrainian army are sufficient for the soldiers to use western weapons and equipment effectively?
The most important issue here comes to the IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) systems used in aviation technology, which we call friend or foe identification. You know that when America first entered Iraq, the Americans and the British shot each other many times.
Because they could not take joint action in certain systems. In the end, efforts were made for NATO to take action with a new code and a new security friend or foe recognition system and to apply the technology to aircraft. In other words, while even the West is experiencing communication problems within itself and problems of not recognising each other and then the forces shooting each other, bringing an aircraft used by the West to the region, and people who have never trained in this, who have been working with Russian aircraft for years, who have been working with Russian technology, will be correctly identified as a foreign object, a foreign aircraft, as soon as they see them and shoot them.
In other words, a system they are not used to is suddenly brought to them and they are told to use it. Of course, people would know if they had worked in this system for years. Then someone takes a look, hears a voice, shoot down this enemy aircraft. Because Ukraine has no planes to fly in the region, every plane coming from the other side is considered as a Russian plane. This creates a problem.
Therefore, the fighting force of a country may not only be armed forces, but also militia forces. In other words, there may also be groups acting as civilians. The communication, interconnection, giving orders to each other and the chain of command must be very tight. But it will be very difficult to do this in a short period of time in a large area, a large field, a large region like Ukraine. As you know, even Napoleon said in his message, ‘Write and publish my orders so that my dumbest soldier can understand this order’. In other words, this is the simplest and most beautiful way of communicating orders in the shortest way possible. This requires a great common communication network, a great identification, and a great identification of friendly and enemy forces.
For example, in the dark of night, you cannot recognise anything moving as friend or foe, and there are examples of this in military service. If you do not receive any sound from your opponent with the password sign application, it is either an enemy or an animal, so you press the fire. You do not know who it is. You have to provide not only manpower but also technological features that war brings. Against your soldiers, your forces in the region and your smallest units.
You take air defence systems to, let's say, airports and dams that provide energy. Well, if there is a ground-to-air missile on the shoulder of a soldier who has not heard from his unit for 1-2 months, if you have not transmitted it to him, he will shoot directly when he sees an aircraft and he will shoot him down. So the issue is actually all about training, technology and the spread of this technology to all Ukrainian troops. However, as far as we know before the war, at a time when children as young as 12-13 years old were being prepared for war, the correctness of this was revealed by the shooting down of this F16. It is inevitable that Ukraine will experience these problems while we have been trying to do this by conducting exercises and practices for years, trying to see our shortcomings and shortcomings. In addition, despite the fact that the United Kingdom and the United States have common values and common technologies, they have repeatedly experienced these problems in Iraq, Libya, here and there. In the same way, we have also experienced problems in this region many times, whether in Syria or Iraq, in our incident with the Russians. And therefore, joint communication centres were established, joint soldiers came. They told each other where we have soldiers and where we don't, what happened and what happened. Because you see that just 200 metres away from where your soldiers are, there is an armed organisation of another group and they take action. In other words, to separate this from each other is an event that requires almost very, very great technology and coordination, and when you cannot do this, there is always the risk of shooting each other.
Announcer: Hodja, you also mentioned the Azov battalion at the beginning of the broadcast. You had an article on this subject, and the title of your article was ‘What is the root cause of the Russians’ hostility towards the Azov battalion?" Could you also tell us who this Azov battalion consists of and what kind of training they receive?
The Azov battalion is an organisation established by the whites in the 1980s under the name of the Ukrainian Special Operations Unit. In fact, when we look at it today, we can consider the Azov battalion's counterparts as right-wing organisations, that is, fascist organisations such as Nazis and Neo-Nazis in Europe, apart from Ukraine. There are similar Azov battalions in our country in the form of the Armenian Revenge Brigades. They also acted in this way. ISIS is also such an event when we look at it. Therefore, it is an event in which people who are organised by big states with money and weapons to create a counter-movement in the region are used as pawns.
Its known name is Azov Special Operations Detachment. In other words, their symbol is the letter Z and is very similar to the swastika sign. In recent years, it is an undisguisable fact that in their struggles with each other, countries are now trying to fight with mercenary militia forces instead of national armed forces, and for this purpose, they support these forces with money and weapons that they can use according to the region and the country, and try to impose their indirect demands on the country they oppose through these forces. We can see this in Gaza, in Israel, in Ukraine under the name of Hamas, in Azov in Ukraine, in Iraq and Syria under the name of ISIS, in Iraq and Syria under the name of PKK- YPG, in Saudi Arabia under the name of Houthis, in Africa under the name of different organisations, in South America under the name of different organisations plus in Asia under the name of different organisations. In other words, people and societies with certain power want to use the small differences in the region for their own purposes, be it religious, ethnic, blood or colour.
This is the first appearance of the Azov battalion in the war between Afghanistan and Russia. Behind this, the Taliban, which is also a religious organisation, emerged in this way and inflicted great losses on the Russians. Seeing the importance of this, these states, which we call imperial states, that is, states that want to use trade for their own purposes, then develop this organisation. Asala is one of these organisations. Ukraine is the new front between the east and the west, and all kinds of political and intellectual organisations such as the Azov battalions, which are ultra-nationalist and against the Russians, will find prestige, money and weapons especially in Ukraine. In other words, if you are against, someone will automatically bring you money and weapons for free. It is as simple as that
This points to a world where ethnic differences will be used in this way. In this respect, we should always be careful in every region.
Announcer: Thank you, Professor. Hope to meet you in another broadcast, health to your mouth.
Author: Thank you, I wish you a good broadcast.
