Why did the USA fail in Afghanistan?
After the disintegration of the USSR, the USA rapidly entered the Middle East (with an approach that it considered geopolitically correct for itself) invaded Iraq.
After the disintegration of the USSR, the USA rapidly entered the Middle East (with an approach that it considered geopolitically correct for itself) invaded Iraq. It was a geopolitically and strategically correct move. Because the USSR collapsed. The United States also had sufficient means and capabilities. However, the USA could not completely finish the job here. He then invaded Afghanistan, again in a geopolitically correct but strategically incorrect move. This invasion was also geopolitically correct for the US because Afghanistan was the gateway to Asia. However, it was strategically wrong because the United States did not have the power and means to get results quickly in Afghanistan while it was fighting in Iraq. The USA had already been in a war in Iraq since 1991 and it had not yet ended this war as it wanted. In fact, the invasion of Afghanistan was a second front for the United States. Here, it is clearly revealed that the play-making geopolitical mindset or brain team of the USA does not have enough foresight and knowledge and makes mistakes.
The purpose of the USA's entry into Afghanistan is to enter Central Asia from there, to separate China and Russia, to prevent China from connecting with Europe economically, and to dominate the region geopolitically defined as the center or heartland of the world island. to seize world domination forever. The US geopolitical think-tank believed it so much that they even wrote a book under that name, even going so far as to say "The End of History and the Last Man." In other words, for the first time in history, the United States would become the sole ruler of the world.
The date was over. The USA meant the world. Now, all the people of the world would be American and American cultured as the last work of history. The world was entering a new era. Everything, everyone, was America, was American. America was saving the world. America was saving humanity in Hollywood movies. America meant humanity and the world. There was nothing else. In history, humanity also came to an end. In history, humanity was also America, was American.
Setting out with this wrong and perverted belief, the United States invaded Iraq, which it left unfinished in 2003, at the same speed. While the full results were not yet achieved in Afghanistan, the USA started to fight on two fronts in both Iraq and Afghanistan (this time with higher intensity). However, the two-front war made the US job very difficult. He could not concentrate on either Afghanistan or Iraq. Things did not go as he wanted. Putin's Russia did not bring the USA into Central Asia. Turkey did not establish a Kurdish state in Iraq that the US wanted. Meanwhile, while the USA concentrated its energy and economy in these regions, China caught and surpassed the USA economically in a very short time than expected by staying away from direct conflict with the USA.
In this confusion, the USA entered Syria and found itself on three fronts. The loss of energy on these fronts has literally collapsed the United States. While the USA was fighting on 3 fronts, it started to be threatened by its main continent, China and Russia. Throughout its history, the USA, which saw the Pacific ocean as its own lake, started to come to its senses when China started to become a Pacific power and began to threaten Taiwan and to expel the USA from the South China Sea, and its home continent began to be under threat. The Pacific was getting out of hand. If Taiwan went, Japan would go, South Korea would go, Hawaii would sell out. On the other hand, Russia established dominance in the North Pole. It didn't bring the US closer. Under these conditions, the USA had to withdraw from other regions in order to ensure its own safety and turn to its own defense. First came Iraq, then Afghanistan. I think that Syria, the middle east and the Mediterranean will come gradually in the near future.
In my opinion, the US's involvement in multi-front wars and the fact that Russia, China and Turkey (we can count Iran up to a point) on these fronts disrupted the US's plans formed the basis of the US's failure.
I think another point lies in the philosophy of failure. The United States devalued everyone but itself. He saw everyone as the enemy. Other people, other cultures were always worthless. As a result of this unethical approach, he did not respect any culture. People's values or their worth as human beings were not important to the United States. The USA was strong. Since they had the power, everything and everyone was for America. Therefore, they attacked with impudence and disrespect. They killed innocent people, mocked the cultures and values of societies. For them, everything outside of themselves was worthless, unimportant, and didn't really exist. So it could be destroyed.
It was not in vain that the end of history and the last man. When it comes to human, if it is not American, it is not human to them. The Americans, who even provided humanitarian aid such as helping in Afghanistan and building roads, did not take off their glasses even when talking to normal Afghan villagers. For Afghans, the so-called Americans behind these helmets and black glasses were like creatures, not humans. His eyes are not visible, his eyebrows are not visible, his hands are gloved…. For Afghans, these would be devils at best. also in Iraq mine was no different.
However, in order to turn a society in your favor, you have to get into them. You have to respect them in order for them to bond with you with affection. But the USA did not take such ethical values into consideration at all. He always looked down on people, whether they were on the road or at school. He belittled them. This unethical approach aroused hatred in everyone. Those who worked with the United States and those who were against the United States hated America, either openly or covertly.
The USA, which could not establish an institutional structure with this approach, tried to dominate Afghanistan through individuals. He invested in individuals, not institutions. In the last part, when people were bought or persuaded in various ways, the whole system collapsed and the country called Afghanistan and the Afghan army disappeared in 2 weeks. It never actually happened. What existed was a mercenary security company or firm made up of only mercenaries.
Another point that draws attention here is how the USA can fall into the illusion of "End of History, the last human being" and ignore everything and everyone and fall into the idea of a superior and inaccessible America. Never in history have even very large and powerful empires made such a mistake and ignored everyone and everything. Even after Timur had conquered all of Eurasia, he remained true to his motto "Power is in justice". Although Genghis Khan dominated the world at that time, he never underestimated his enemies and did not consider them a shock. Even after Alexander the Great defeated the Persians and reached Asia, he did not underestimate Asia and established cities there. Rome granted Roman citizenship to everyone in the areas it conquered.
This approach put forward by the USA was a philosophically crippled idea of domination rather than a power strategy. In my opinion, the reason for this philosophical background is that the Americans, who put forward this thought and philosophy, in a sense inject their Evangelical and Zionist infrastructure (not Judaism or Judaism) into this approach. For, unlike Judaism and Judaism, Zionism asserts that they are chosen, that everyone else is unimportant, and that the world is theirs alone. Evangelism tries to do this. It is possible to see the traces of this philosophy in approaches such as the end of history and the last clash of people and civilizations. In my opinion, the US geopolitical playmakers have been greatly influenced by this erroneous approach of Zionism and Evangelicalism, with the idea that everyone and everything is for them and for themselves. While no empire or power in history has had such an idea, I think the US's adoption of this approach is the work of US geopolitical playmakers who surrendered to Evangelical and Zionist thinking. As a result of this erroneous approach, millions of people died in the world, and this imaginary approach of the USA is now a thing of the past with Afghanistan. No one in the world is superior or chosen over another. Neither the USA nor anyone else.
What should Turkey do?
Turkey is now a regional power with global influence geopolitically. In this context, the most important issue is not to disturb the internal peace. Because if the internal peace is disturbed and Turkey turns inside itself, it will not be able to take advantage of the regional opportunities. For this reason, it should pay maximum attention to maintaining peace inside.
On the other hand, it should give importance to its technological and economic development in a way to take advantage of the geopolitical vacuum, and it should especially eliminate foreign dependency as soon as possible. In this context, it must be in Central Asia, and it must be present in Afghanistan in a civil or military form. It should develop its ties with the surrounding countries and attract the attention of the surrounding countries. Now Iraq, the Caucasus (including Armenia), the Balkans, Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East and even Eastern Europe look to Turkey as a new role model. In this context, it should strengthen its connections with these countries and provide an area of control instead of an area of influence.
It should develop its relations and cooperation with Russia in the form of a partnership based on trust. For the first time in history, Russia will not be neighbors with a Western power in the southern region. There used to be England. Then USA. Russia always felt under threat from the south because of England and the USA. Today this threat has disappeared. A southern region under the control of Turkey means that Russia is also safe.
In my opinion, bringing to the agenda a Eurasian Organization that will include Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Eastern Mediterranean under the leadership of Russia and Turkey will be beneficial for all actors in the region. This organization should be able to work together in the field of both commercial and economic cooperation and military cooperation, while providing confidence to Russia, Turkey, China and other regional countries, it should not pose a threat to the West or Western formations like NATO. With these collaborations, perhaps for the first time in history, Eurasia will be able to form a real unity against imperialism and will be able to curb the approaches of a western power to dominate Eurasia and to despise and ignore itself like the superior power and the superior race.
