Why is the US Establishing the PKK/PYD/YPG Satellite State in Syria?

Let us remember together, there is a universal truth of all time in physics: "life does not accept a vacuum." You may remember an experiment in elementary schools that did not require any auxiliary equipment. Shall we recall it together? In physics class, the teacher takes out a water glass from his bag and puts it on the table. Then he shows the empty glass and asks: "Children, is this glass full or empty? The children say in unison, "Empty, teacher". The teacher says the following sentence, which seems simple but will leave a mark in the memory. "You didn't know, children, nothing remains empty. Right now the glass is full of air. When you put water in it, the air comes out and it fills with water". This rule of physics applies not only to matter but to all areas of human life. (1) 

Undoubtedly, this rule, which applies everywhere, also applies to international relations and foreign policy. In short, nowhere can be expressed with a vacuum, gaps are filled. Let us draw a conclusion, if you like. Just like the places vacated by ISIS are being filled by the 'Syrian PUKaKaKa' with the support of the US. By "Syrian PeKaKa" I mean the "Syrian branch of the PeKaKa/KCK terrorist organization": the PYD-YPG. You are aware that those who read "PeKaKa" as "PeKeKe" are the ones who declare to you that they are "Freedom Fighters". Of course, in the meantime, deceiving the public is always free. As everyone understands, the magic word in the 'PYD-YPG' organization is 'democratization'. 

In Kurdish, the PYD (Partiya Yekitiya Demokrat) is the Democratic Union Party, and its armed force, the Kurdish YPG (Yekîneyên Parastina Gel), is the 'People's Defense Units' or, as it is most commonly called, the 'Syrian Democratic Forces'.  This structure is organized in a similar way to the HPG (People's Protection Forces), the armed wing of the 'PeKaKa'. The title PeKaKa/KCK is important because it is an umbrella organization. It is an organizational systematic that constitutes the Syrian leg of the "Kurdistan in Four Parts" phenomenon, which holds one-third of the 185,000 km.2 of Syrian territory and benefits from 70% water resources and almost all oil resources. On February 15, 2002, at an event organized by the Diyarbakır Peace Association, Jewish-origin US Prof. Dr. Naum Chomsky spoke about the Ottoman Empire and laid out this road map in detail. He was also taken to court for this speech. 

In addition to targeting Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, this road map is a strategic road map that could affect Turkey, Iraq and Iran, the three countries outside Syria of the 'Kurdistan in Four Parts' phenomenon, at the same time and directly affect the fate of the region. 

In fact, it is clear that it is aimed at rescuing PeKaKa, its Turkish equivalent, from its entrapment both domestically and in Northern Iraq. In my opinion, the YPG/PYD, which I always refrain from referring to as the 'Syrian PeKaKa' and whose Kurdish acronyms are often used, should be considered as the most important threat to Turkey's survival. Why? The reason is quite obvious, dear readers. However, for some reason, there is still confusion about this issue in Turkey. Let alone the debate on the 'YPG/PYD', in short 'Syrian PeKaKa', being a terrorist organization, it is even accepted and voiced by the opposition as the 'Syrian Democratic Forces'. (2) Occasionally, the infamous pieces of cloth produced by the British Intelligence Service can be hung as flags and banners can be pasted at their events. 

In order to turn the 'Syrian PeKaKaKa' into a satellite state that can stand on its own feet, the US has also set a major goal of strengthening the organization economically. In this context, the Syrian PeKaKaKa signed an agreement with the US Delta Crescent Oil Company for the exploitation and marketing of oil fields in northern Syria. In other words, for the first time in the world, a non-state actor/terrorist group was taken as an interlocutor and an international step was taken towards the legalization of the terrorist organization. (3) 

In the background of the 'Syrian PeKaKaKa''s oil deal with the US company, it was aimed to target Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as to influence Turkey, Iraq and Iran at the same time. This is how the foundation of the US "Syria PeKaKaKaKa" Satellite Statehood was formed. After ISIS, one of the tasks assigned to this formation is to prevent the Shiite Corridor that will ensure the Shiite and Sunni separation of Iraq, which will extend to Syria through Iraq by Iran. 

Now, do not praise Trump because he was the only one who stood up to the US deep state and decided to withdraw US troops from Syria. And let's not forget one of the architects of the strengthening of US bases in Syria. I am referring to James Jeffrey, President Trump's Special Envoy for Syria. It is equally significant that Jeffrey, who left his post at the end of November 2019 after this decision, addressed the new US President Biden and advised him to "follow the Trump administration's Middle East policies".  Speaking to the US defense analysis website "Defense One", Jeffrey defended the Donald Trump administration's Syria policy and said that Trump's decision to withdraw American troops from Syria in 2019 came as a surprise to everyone.  Jeffrey stated that Trump was convinced to keep around 200 US troops after some justifications were presented. (2) It is not difficult to imagine the justifications presented. The current number of troops, according to the records of the House of Representatives, is around 900.

After Joe Biden, the man of the US deep state, the 'Establishment', came to power, this decision was abandoned and the US military structure in Syria was even further strengthened. However, the issue of the presence of US troops in Syria became a subject of constant debate between Republicans and Democrats. Finally, on March 8, 2023, in the House of Representatives, the lower house of the US Congress, the bill calling on President Joe Biden to withdraw all US troops from Syria was revived and brought to a vote in the plenary session with the presentation of Republican Florida Congressman (Representative) Matt Gaetz. Unfortunately, the bill on the "withdrawal of 900 US troops from Syria" was rejected in the House of Representatives with 321 "no" votes against 103 "yes" votes. Interestingly, the Democrats who voted in favor of the bill outnumbered the Republicans. 56 Democrats and 47 Republicans supported the bill. The professionally drafted bill correctly cited section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution, which directs the withdrawal of US armed forces from Syria within 180 days of President Joe Biden's approval. 

Gaetz pointed out that Americans may wonder how Syria has become the site of great power rivalry, pointing in particular to the complex equation that has emerged in Syria. Recalling the Gulf countries' support for the opposition in the events that started when the Syrian regime opened fire on its own people, Gaetz noted that Iran not only supported Syria but also deployed Hezbollah and invaded Syria. Gaetz said that Russia also stepped in and made the picture more complicated by landing in the Eastern Mediterranean. Moreover, the situation is further complicated by the fact that the Syrian PUK, which has suddenly declared war on the Damascus regime, has also entered into a conflict with its NATO ally Turkey. This situation has become even more complicated after the visit of the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, to the Syrian Peninsula. According to US media reports, Milley was asked by journalists traveling with him whether the "deployment of 900 US troops to Syria" was worth the risk of being thrown into hell. Milley gave the expected answer as follows

"If you think it is important, then the answer is 'Yes',"(4) he was forced to say. 

The US Chief of Staff's visit to the region in northeastern Syria occupied by the YPG/PKK terrorist group also led to an escalation of tensions between the two NATO allies, with the US Ambassador to Turkey Jeff Flake being summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry. After all these observations, Gaetz succinctly described the mission of the US military in the following words: 

'The mission of the US military is not to wage war on foreign soil with American tax dollars.' (5) 

In fact, this is the hope and expectation of the entire world public opinion. Acting as a spokesperson for the US electorate, Gaetz said, "Since 2015, when we have been in Syria, we have seen Americans die and tens of billions of dollars have been wasted." Gaetz has been interpreting the expectations of the world public opinion, especially the Turkish public opinion. 

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican Congresswoman from Georgia, who sponsored the bill, also argued that the US Department of Defense should not wage war in foreign countries at the expense of American taxpayers. (5) Just like the "American Dream", the United States' abandonment of its clumsy quest to be the world gendarme has become an unrealizable dream for developing countries. Can you imagine, if only the Paper Tiger, the US, would give up its Mega Power dream, the world would really be a bed of roses. 

Republican Congressman Greene also made it clear that the Department of Defense should be fighting the Mexican cartels that smuggle drugs into the country, not Syria. Noting that no American from his constituency in Georgia has ever said to him, "We should go to war in Syria," Greene also pointed out that many American soldiers have lost their lives on foreign soil. (5) Indeed, every US body that arrives at Arlington Military Cemetery in Washington, D.C. causes deep sadness in the eyes of US voters. In order to minimize the discomfort of the US electorate, in other words, the US prefers to make maximum use of people from the region who will die for them and not speak out. 

In Dadaloğlu's famous ballad "Kalktı Göç Eyledi Avşar Elleri", the lines "Ölen ölürür kal kal sağlayımızdir" (The one who dies, the one who survives is ours) can be interpreted as "Ölen ölürür kal kalan sağlay serves us." This is why it suits them to interpret it in this way. Let us not forget that loyal service to the US is at the highest level in the region. In almost everyone's heart, 3,500 kilometers southeast of North Korea is the US stronghold in the Pacific: Guam, the US stronghold in the Pacific, 3,500 kilometers southeast of North Korea, and become a 'Kurdish Coni'. Just like the peshmerga were trained here before. The region is full of unemployed young people and American wannabes, allowing the US to find as many men as they want for 100-150 dollars. The dead die, another one is quickly found among hundreds of others, and the US, like a computer game, takes another life and continues its mischief in the region. This is why the US is in cooperation with organizations like the Syrian PeKaKaKa all over the world. 

After all this, I must say that the US "Syrian PeKaKaKa" Satellite Statehood must be prevented at all costs. If a second version of the Adana Memorandum is to be written with the Damascus regime, which it should be, the de facto autonomy to be integrated with Syria in a secure zone to be established within a 32 km. strip along the Syrian and Iraqi borders in the south of Turkey must be put into a legal framework. The table to be established to ensure peace and tranquility with the brotherhood of peoples must be established on the basis of sincerity and honesty. The work of opinion leaders is needed more than anything else in order to smooth the erosion of trust fueled by hatred and hatred in the region. It is hoped, dear readers, that a self-sufficient structure, at least like the TRNC, can be autonomously integrated into the Syrian State in a secure region.
