Is Turkey being set up by NATO?

Recently, the globally influential American magazine "Foreign Policy", "The Wall Street Journal", Bloomberg, the Washington Post, the British magazine "The Economist", the Guardian newspaper and most recently the German magazine STERN have targeted Turkey and President Erdoğan with incomplete, distorted and false news, making it a tradition to engage in perception engineering, discrediting, black propaganda and manipulation.

Can it be seen as a presumption of innocence that the Western-oriented visual and print media portray Turkey's elections as the 'Event of the Year' in 2023? Let us say that the very fact that this question can even be asked is the very definition of innocence. Can such a thing ever happen? Dear readers. I can say right off the bat that what they are trying to present as a democratic election as a paradise garden is purely a perception creation operation. However, 100 days before the elections, it is also clearly known that they are planning behind closed doors to make Turkey a 'scapegoat'.  Well then, shouldn't we ask? Where are the universal rules of journalism, where are the media principles? There is no need to go too far.  Is what they are doing deliberate? Make no mistake, it is deliberate. Is it an obsessive condition? Yes, they are obsessed as a paranoid and schizoid phenomenon.

As the nursery rhyme "Çarşı is against everything" or "Çarşı is against the ridicule" suggests, it is not only against President Erdoğan. In other words, it is not only Erdoğan who is being targeted, but let's also say that it has evolved into direct opposition to the Turkish people and Turkey in an increased dose. Yes, dear readers, the noble Turkish nation has been directly targeted. But weren't the signs and symptoms of this seen beforehand? How could they not be? For example, in the HS 106 Bill passed by both houses of the US Congress, the Turkish people are directly identified with Hitler. While describing the genocide, it is stated that "what Hitler did to the Jews was what the Turkish people did to the Armenians", thus identifying the entire Turkish people with Hitler. Don't say that this is not possible, this is exactly what happened. (1)

Sir, ever since the Republic of Turkey was admitted to NATO in 1952, it has always had crises and crises with the United States. As you know, Turkey entered the military alliance NATO on February 18, 1952. In 1951, as a result of the NATO meeting in Canada, it was decided to invite Turkey and Greece to join NATO and this decision was approved by NATO in 1952. In my opinion, Turkey has been a country that has been dealing with crises ever since. So much so that the two countries have faced each other 34 times in a systematic system of conflicts that we can call the history of crises. After 34 major crises in 62 years, Turkish-American relations are not likely to improve in the near future. The situation has become such that the Western media's unquestioning acceptance of the claims and discourses of opposition circles, especially on Turkey, has become chronic. Anti-Turkish people and anti-Turkey sentiments are also directly directed against President Erdoğan. The US and European print and broadcast media have demonstrated an assertive and consistent attitude of increasing the dose of scandalous covers and headlines against Turkey and President Erdoğan as the election date in Turkey approaches, and it has become evident that they may exhibit an increasing dose from now on. (2)

Let us first examine why external attacks directly targeting Turkey have increased. First, and perhaps most importantly, the Turkish Century and the move towards a fully independent Turkey have disturbed important power centers. Secondly, Turkey has reduced its foreign dependency in the defense industry to twenty percent and has risen to the league of champions. Third, Turkey has achieved great success in the fight against terrorism alone in the world. Fourth, Turkey's energy breakthroughs have frightened the US, the UK and the EU. Fifth, Turkey's strategic moves in the Mediterranean and the Sea of Islands have increased, and it has started to use the law-based conceptual and legal framework in an extremely competent manner.

It was inevitable that the United States would start to openly raise objections against a country that has made so many moves. The first question is why Turkey does not impose an embargo against the Russian Federation. However, we have a tradition inherited from the Ottomans that is at the level of an aphorism. What was it the Ottomans said: "Defeating the harm is better than benefiting from it." In other words, "it is more important to eliminate the troubles that are being experienced than to benefit from them."

The Republic of Turkey, which is the continuation of the Ottoman state, is focused on ending the war between the RF and Ukraine, on a ceasefire and peace. First you have to eliminate the damage, destroy it, so that you can build good works.  The Republic of Turkey is working with all its might to achieve this goal. The second harm to Turkey is that Turkey is particularly focused on the exclusion of Sweden from NATO, using terrorism as an excuse.  This situation has reached such a point that Turkey's NATO membership has been brought up for discussion. John Bolton, the former White House National Security Advisor, has contributed to this growing position by supporting the campaign for Turkey's NATO membership. The scenario of Turkey's expulsion from NATO began to snowball after FETÖ was designated as an "armed terrorist organization" in 2014. The milestone of the campaign for Turkey's expulsion from NATO, which started abroad, is that it coincided with the failure of FETÖ. As underlined by Cihat Yaycı, the campaign was also launched during Operation Peace Spring, after which the issue of how Turkey could be legally removed from NATO was brought to the agenda. It was argued that Turkey should be expelled from NATO due to Turkey's reaction to Greece's injustices and lawlessness, and then Turkey's NATO membership should be suspended due to Sweden and Finland's opposition to Turkey's membership. Again, the Turkey-NATO relationship was brought to the agenda due to the fact that Turkey has never broken its relations with Russia, and finally, in an open challenge to Turkey, the Greek-born James George Stavridis, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rockefeller Foundation, former Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe and Commander of the US European Forces, said, 'Turkey should not leave NATO between the choice of Turkey or Sweden and Finland'." (3)

The meaning of this is clear. It means that if we, the western world, are faced with this situation, we will undoubtedly side with Sweden and Finland. Let us not forget that the moment Turkey is expelled from NATO, the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus and Israel will be admitted to NATO. Because let's not forget that the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus and Israel could not enter NATO because of Turkey's veto.

Now, can you imagine that Rasmus Paludan, who committed the Koran Burning act that brought the Islamic world of 1.5 billion people to its feet, will continue his actions in Denmark after Sweden, and Turkey will pacifistly approve Sweden's admission to NATO. It is impossible to understand how this is possible.  The Swedish government will be content with saying that they are committed to the commitments in the Trilateral Covenant, they will not be able to take any action against what is being done against Turkey in the context of terrorism, and everyone, except Turkey, will say "here's to the mattress, here's to the corner".  As Barış Manço sang, "those who impose are in the head corner, the others are on a stone mattress for life." So come on in, friends(!). What needs to be done is the immediate fulfillment of the commitments in the Tripartite Covenant.  What Sweden needs to do is to demonstrate its ability to put forward a set of actions that goes beyond rhetoric and includes concrete and effective steps, especially in the fight against terrorism, in line with its commitments in the Trilateral Covenant.

Yes, dear readers, the United States has set as its primary goal to undermine Turkey, its NATO partner, on almost every ground. While the first is under NATO, the second is in Syria. The Syrian PeKaKaKaKa, which follows the Apoist line but is effective with US arms and technical assistance, is being handled on completely different grounds, when its partnership with the US should have a psychological impact that calls into question the PKK's place on the list of 'terrorist organizations'. It is difficult to explain, but it is worth mentioning that the American presence is also quite functional in controlling the oil fields in the region and transferring them to the Iraqi side. The US has been so reckless in its actions and rhetoric that it has openly stated on almost every occasion that it tends to accept Turkey's operations against the 'Syrian PeKaKaKa' as operations against NATO allies.

To cut a long story short, neither the EU nor NATO wants a big independent Turkey. Instead of a united, integrated Turkey, a shrunken, crumbled and crushed Turkey is strongly desired. Like Yugoslavia, Turkey's disintegration is desired. After the creation of a Kurdistan in Four Parts in the southeast, a territory for Armenia in the east, a Pontic Greek State in the north, and a Vatican-like autonomous Ecumenical Patriarchal State in Istanbul, it is dreamed that Turkey will be taken back into the EU and NATO in a reduced form, dear readers.
