Are Nation-States Being Liquidated?
The end of the "Second World War", which started with the challenge of the defeated of the Great War, eroded the nation-states to a large extent, and with the start of a system in which the strong is right, the destruction process of the nation-states that challenged injustice started.
Commonwealth Model:
Dear readers, let's make a generalization together, shall we? Is it an accepted fact that at the end of the First World War, other than the victorious "Great Britain" or simply "United Kingdom", the life cycle of other classical empires ended? No doubt, yes. While Great Britain consolidated and consolidated its position as "the land where the sun never sets", the empires built around the aristocracy in the old world island, Afro-Eurasia, disappeared from the stage of history one by one.
By the way, let's say that between the two wars, the Great British Empire changed shape and the "British Commonwealth of Nations", of which 54 countries are members today, where 16 countries were directly ruled by the "British Queen", was established in London on 11 December 1931. This situation was accepted as an undeniable fact of the "Great War" as well as a matter of allegiance. These 16 countries accept the Queen as the head of state, the queen appoints governors to these states, and this governor governs those states on behalf of the queen. For example, Canada is one of these states. The Republic of Fiji is one of these states. Even the flag of the Republic of Fiji is the same as that of the British state, with a golden yellow British lion on top of the flag with a coconut under its paws. You know, the lion in the imaginary painting of 'cim-bom'.
Let's not forget that at the end of the First World War, the appointed Prime Minister Damat Ferit, married to Mediha Sultan, the sister of the sultan, who was appointed during the armistice period, signed a similar "proto-secret agreement" with the British on 12 September 1919 as the representative of the Sultan Vahdettin. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk made extensive statements about this "Turkish-British Secret Treaty" in his Nutuk. The text of the "treaty", which states that the British Government will guarantee the integrity and independence of Turkey under its command, was first published in the American newspaper "The New York Gerald Tribune" on January 22, 1920. (one)
In short, this agreement is the agreement of leaving Turkey to the British. What does it mean? For one thing, those who wish to become citizens of these states must swear allegiance to the Queen. In the education system of these states, there is no such understanding of nationality, locality or nation-state, there is allegiance to the queen and obedience to English laws. The education system was built by the British in order to raise citizens directly subordinate to the queen. The next generation grows up admiring the Queen and the British State. I think the situation is fully understood. If it is necessary to put this system somewhere, it is "a system based on unsolicited allegiance and obedience". What we will understand is the process of making "Long Live the Queen" dominate instead of "Long Live the Queen".
The Erosion of the Nation-State System:
The end of the "Second World War", which started with the challenge of the defeated of the Great War, eroded the nation-states to a large extent, and with the start of a system in which the strong is right, the destruction process of the nation-states that challenged injustice started. On the other hand, with the entry of the globalization process after the cold war, some approaches have been put forward that nation states will erode and disappear over time. As a result of the erosion of the existential boundaries of the nation-state in the face of globalization, it has been eroded both by transboundary international organizations from above and by sub-identities and cultures from below.
When we look at the current Ukraine issue from the point of view of international political science, it is clearly seen that the hegemonic power of the Pax-Americano is based on the contradiction between the USA's model of globalization of the world and the resistance of the nation-state in its sovereignty rights. As a matter of fact, it is known that global finance, which is described with the 'Pax-Americano', not only ended the entire Soviet Union during the cold war, but also ended the bipolar world order. The Warsaw Pact, which is the subject of the aggressive doctrine of the bipolar world, closed its doors shortly before the third millennium without a single shot being fired. We all saw it together. Undoubtedly, the result of this situation has been great.
The subcontractor of global finance, which was introduced to the world as the "so-called victor" after the Cold War, strengthened the mega power position of the USA. After that, the USA was given the task of eroding nation-states by global finance. While the subcontractor is eroding the nation-state identity of the nation-states and sailing towards depersonalization-de-stateization, Greece represents the last example of this. Just like the Ottoman Empire after the First World War, Greece presented its country to the United States on a turnkey basis, and as a result of Turkey's marginalization, the financial future of its country was donated to France in the name of weapons, tools and equipment. If a generalization is to be made, while those who pledge allegiance are depersonalized and de-state; Those who resisted were tried to be brought into line with sanctions such as the “Combating the USA's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act” (CAATSA).
Situation of Ukraine:
Let us now try to scrutinize this argument. A Ukraine, a surrendered nation-state that was deceived and deceived before the war started; On the other hand, Russia represents the resisting nation-state. When we look at the social structure of Ukraine, which was created artificially after the Cold War, the problem is clearly evident. It is clearly seen that there is an integration problem between the east and the west of Ukraine and this has an impact on political orientations. Traditionally, Western Ukraine, with the Western system; On the other hand, it is clearly seen that Eastern Ukraine is in favor of closeness with the Russian Federation (RF), especially in language. Oddly enough, from the very beginning, the leaders of the European Union and NATO have known from the very beginning that if Ukraine is included in the system, they have said it at different times.
As a matter of fact, this division phenomenon was and still is partially supported by religious and sectarian differences. This de facto situation intensified after the annexation of Crimea by the RF in 2014, and a covert fight between the West and Russia over Ukraine, more accurately, the West's efforts to take Ukraine under control, resulted in painful results.
By dominating the Crimea, which is of vital importance for the Russian navy in the Black Sea, Russia has challenged not only the United States but also the international community, and has clearly positioned itself outside of international rules and norms. It is very clear done. XXI. The fact that a state on the European continent occupied and annexed some of its lands by using military force against another sovereign state in the century II. It shook the foundations of the post-World War II security system. Now, as the war in Ukraine has completed its 10th week, the US and NATO trying to dominate the fate of a country, sending weapons, tools, equipment and ammunition only and instrumentalizing it for their own purposes reveals the selfishness of the Ukrainian people, who believe in liberal democracy, to be sacrificed on altars.
Tools of the West:
The West's concern was never the protection of Ukraine, they were only concerned with whether the right time had come to bring the RF into line. It seems that the situation has never been different from this. It is seen that the USA, which is constantly provoking NATO against the RF in Ukraine, openly wants to tighten its ranks within NATO. In addition, it emphasizes on every occasion that Sweden and Finland should also be included in NATO in the context of strengthening NATO. Is that all? Of course not. The money-directing speculators, while building democracy, human rights, the rule of law and open socialism, civil initiative, and non-governmental organizations, on the other hand, considered it a mission to mobilize the illegal actors in the region. In fact, what they want through both civil society and illegal organizations is to reinforce the exploitation order.
Remember, PeKaKa, realizing that it was going upside down, just as the USA constantly terrorized PeKaKa during the opening process, hastened to challenge the authentic actors in the region, as they had no more time to lose. For example, 793 security guards were martyred and 314 civilians lost their lives in the terrorist attacks that started with the pit-ditch terror after the general elections on June 7, 2015 and destroyed the eastern provinces. More than four thousand security guards and more than 2,000 citizens were injured. Our sacrifices for survival are a reminder of the tragic days of the civilian population in Ukraine today. More accurately, XXI. These tragic events that took place in the European geography in the 19th century challenge the consciences to understand the point that human history has reached. What happened in Bucha and Iprin is equivalent to the Khojaly and Serebrenitza genocide.
Russia's Detachment from Europe via Ukraine:
When the Ukraine issue is evaluated as a whole, separating RF from Ukraine also means separating it from Europe. It was planned that this would lead to the weakening of Russia in the medium term and its liquidation in the long term. However, when we look at the event in real politics, the Ukraine move of the RF is also an indication that it does not want to break away from Europe. It is thought that this stance of the RF may make it difficult for the USA and European countries to act as a mono bloc against Russia. (2nd)
The occupation of Ukraine and the inadequacy of international organizations such as the United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU) seem to have been one of the foremost factors in the background of all these events. Moreover, the fact that the genocide was committed under the control of the UN is the most tragic example, let alone maintaining peace after the Serbian attacks against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Kosovo War, where the Serbs inflicted violence on the Albanians and resulted in the death of thousands of people, took place in Europe recently. It is clearly seen that the UN is incapable of solving the problems in the Kosovo war, where mass deaths took place. Although ten weeks have passed, he could not even intervene in the events in Ukraine. The inability of international organizations to intervene in social crises has brought the nation-state to a primary position in protecting identities. (3)
Conclusion:
Within the framework of this situation, it is clearly seen that the inadequacy of international organizations in the globalization process further reinforces the existence of nation-states. At the end of its tenth week, the Ukraine crisis also shows that it increases the nationalization policies like the Kuva-yı Milliye in the Turkish National Struggle. Although the nation-state as a legitimate structure has been eroded for a while with globalization, the unity of the nation-state reinforces its existence. The power-centered nation-state will be able to become stronger as long as it can reunite around the concept of security against external attacks. Rather than opening up nation-states to the outside, this situation, on the contrary, triggers introversion to that extent.
Despite all these challenges, it is obvious that the Republic of Turkey, as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk succinctly expressed, depends on making the national borders of the Pact safe for the "Republic of Turkey to stand forever". Although some bilateral agreements or protocols are referred to as a basis for the military operations in both Syria and Iraq, the Republic of Turkey does not need an argument other than the "right of self-defense" for a long time. The construction of uninterrupted buffer-security zones with a depth of 20 miles (32 Km) beyond the borders of Syria and Iraq, starting from the homogeneous “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” and the resettlement of Syrian and Iraqi citizens in the status of asylum seekers pursuant to Turkey in these regions make Turkey “Minorary Asia”. It will be able to turn it into an “Island of Peace”. The permanence of these regions depends on supporting small and medium enterprises that will accept Turkey's economic outputs as inputs, dear readers.
