The Main Power of the Multi-Centre-Multi-Civilisation World: Eurasia

Eurasia today, with its widest geographical borders, with Portugal in the West, Japan in the East, Russia in the North and India in the South, has 60 per cent of the world's GNP and hosts 70 per cent of the world population.

Eurasia consists of the words ‘Europe’ and ‘Asia’, that is, the words ‘Eurasia’ and ‘Asia’. It is the name given to the geography that includes Europe and Asia. Eurasia, the power centre of the ancient world, has been home to almost all great civilisations and great religions. Eurasia is the main continent of the world. It is no longer sufficient to define Eurasia in a narrow framework. In fact, there is no common consensus on the definition of Eurasia. The Eurasian geography, which is interconnected by today's fast transport vehicles and giant infrastructures, is in a high level of interaction with social networks in the 21st century. With its widest geographical borders, Eurasia today, with Portugal in the West, Japan in the East, Russia in the North and India in the South, has 60 per cent of the world's GNP and hosts 70 per cent of the world's population. In addition, three quarters of the world's energy resources are also in this geography. The Eurasian continent covers more than 36% of the world's total land area with 55,000,000 square kilometres. This figure corresponds to 1/3 of the world's land mass.

There is no other example of such a geography rich in every aspect. It is a geography where history is written, home to deep-rooted nations, giant civilisations and continental countries. Eurasia is a geography of civilisations. Indian, Arab, Turkish, Chinese, Persian, Russian, Jewish, Christian and Islamic civilisations share this geography. The heart of Eurasia is Turkish civilisation. Its mind is Chinese civilisation. Its eyes are Russian civilisation. Its arms are European civilisation. Its legs are Indian civilisation. Arab and Persian civilisations are the veins of the continent. Eurasia is the homeland of the states that are the carriers of the world's most powerful and deep-rooted civilisations. Eurasia is also connected to Africa by a narrow strip of land near the Gulf of Suez. Together these three continents are called Afro-Eurasia. Here every civilisation, every nation, every country has values, riches and visions to offer. Except for the USA, the world's largest economies are located in this geography. Again, all nuclear powers, except the USA, are in Eurasia. Just as Eurasia is a leading geography hosting the past, today it is the main geography that initiates the change and transformation of the world.

The 21st century is witnessing the construction of a Eurasia-centred world. Geopolitically, Eurasia constitutes the main core of the new multi-centred, multi-civilisation world. Eurasia is a candidate continent to become the centre and leader of the world again. Eurasia may give us the chance to unite with Western civilisation, to find a common path and cooperation. What is important here is the attitude of European states. One side of the Eurasian scale is Europe and the other side is Asia. Europe is known both for us and for the world. But Asia will be rediscovered both for us and for the world.

Asia, the largest continent of the world, the land of languages and religions, consists of 48 sovereign states, 6 non-UN states and 6 dependent regions. It is the most populous continent in the world. Asia's population is over 4.5 billion. It harbours three-fifths of the world population. Again, 62 per cent of the world's Muslims live in Asia. Today, 21 of the world's 30 largest cities are located in Asia, as well as the world's 10 largest harbours. China-Japan-India are in the top 5 of the world economy. Half of the companies in the Global 500, the world's largest companies, are from Asia. New international and regional organisations were born in Eurasia, centred in Asia. Asia-centred organisations such as BRICS, SCO, CSTO, Eurasian Economic Union, Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank have emerged. Many of the world's leading armies are also in Asia. While new technology centres are rising in Asia, the power of economic and political centres is rapidly shifting to Asia. In addition to these, the ancient civilisations of Asia today offer a vision to the world. Just as these ancient civilisations helped the whole world and Asia to develop in the past, they are now helping millions of people to meet their basic needs and escape poverty. Therefore, the rise of Asia should be based on a foundation that does not threaten the West for the construction of Eurasia. The unification of Eurasia has accelerated with the launch of China's Belt and Road project connecting Europe and Asia, India's Look East Movement and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, Turkey's Development Road Project, and Russia's Northern Sea Route.

In Asia, Chinese, Indian, Russian, Turkish, Arab, Persian, Korean, Japanese and other nations are rebuilding Asia with their giant projects and connecting continents and oceans. There are many regions and countries in Asia. There are giant markets and giant partners for joint projects. In fact, there are many options in Asia. We can easily say that Asia is the valuable one in bringing the Eurasian geography or the word to life. A Eurasia without Asia and a world without Eurasia are unthinkable. It is time for European states to recognise Asian states as their equals. In this regard, they need to start with Turkey. Because the alliance or side in which Turkey puts its weight will be more prominent.

Indeed, the rise of Asia has aroused deep concern in the West. The economic giant military dwarf explanation for the European Union evolved into an even worse situation with the awakening of Asia, and Europe, whose capital decreased and lost its productivity, turned into an old world. Most of the countries that America is currently dealing with sanctions and embargoes are in Asia. There is a US that does not recognise law and increases its unilateral policies. The West wants to undermine the economic, technological, military and political change and development in Asia. Asia is the biggest enemy for Western civilisation in an undeclared way. For the future of Eurasia, the European pillar of Western civilisation must get rid of these dangerous ideas. Because the Eurasian continent is a giant centre of attraction with religious, racial, cultural and civilisational diversity. Failing to see that the Eurasian continent will be the main core of global integration today as it was in the past is to fail to read the future.
