On Wars and Their Causes
For some, this is Putin's war. For some, it is Russia's struggle to survive against the will to containment and destruction. For others, it is a reflection of the principles of democracy and freedom on the field, a struggle for survival.
Wars in Human History:
Human history is full of wars. Among them, you can find wars over a woman, religious and sectarian wars. You see the struggles for wealth or domination, the ambition to conquer the whole world. As a result, we see countless different wars, fought for countless different purposes. But the word "purpose" here is actually a rather vague concept that is left ambiguous.
Purpose of Wars:
Because one of the most interesting intellectual mechanisms of human beings is active. In English, we can call it "reasoning". If you look at the meaning of the word, you will see equivalents such as reasoning and reasoning. But the meaning of usage can change. The effort of wanting something and finding a reasonable cover for it. Or an effort to find an explanation, an excuse for why something happened. In short, we can describe it as a motive to make sense of something, to make excuses, to explain, to convince and to make it suitable for transfer.
What is the Purpose of the Russia-Ukraine War?
As a matter of fact, in the Russia-Ukraine war that we are watching, we see the "reasoning" efforts that are kneaded according to countless perspectives. For some, this is Putin's war. For some, it is Russia's struggle to survive against the will to containment and destruction. For others, it is a reflection of the principles of democracy and freedom on the field, a struggle for survival. According to another, it is a war to return a land that is already his to its homeland, to take what is rightfully his. Nazism, fascism, racism, religion or rather sect (the parable of Orthodox Russia, Catholic Ukraine), NBC threats, etc. we observe countless different color palettes in these efforts to make sense.
Russia Started the War:
But if we try to approach the event from a ruthless and impartial point of view, we will see this concrete truth. This war started on the initiative of Russia, although it had many external incentives. The real reason behind Russia's decision to go about this war is "cultural".
Yes, nations have different ways of living, thinking and perceiving. These form certain cultural genetic codes over time. These codes also shape many generations and histories. The fortunes of some nations are so deep and rooted that they can shape the future. In the past 4-5 centuries, the Russian (Moscow) nation has attained this historical consciousness. But are these cultural codes and subsequent understandings of power struggle friendly with Russia's future? If the fiction of the future is different from today and yesterday, I think this should have been a "no" for Russia, but it didn't.
Political Leaderships:
If you have noticed, all the political leadership, the way it handled the issue, diplomatic initiatives and their course, public opinion and perception management, in short, the whole non-military mechanism of the state power has an expected and fully predictable course before this war.
In the same way, the way the army staff handles the war, the course of execution and development, the behavior and movement pattern, seems to be the same as it is reflected to us. In other words, today's Putin's Russia, the Soviets of the Cold War era, the Stalin of the Second World War years, show exactly the same reactions as the state and military power of Tsarist Russia, in the same way and in the same order. In other words, almost all observers noticed that even if the set and the players change, the game is the same.
Could Russia Change?
The question is: Could Russia also change in a changing world, while protecting its national identity and interests? Turkey, Japan, China, Zimbabwe, Malaysia, Brazil etc. that can achieve this. Could there be other countries as well?. To put it more clearly, could the war for Russia be coming in different forms and identities for Turkey or for other countries in the world?
Behavior Patterns:
I want to explain with a simple example. A young man falls in love with a friend of the opposite sex. The whole world is pink for him now. It is as if every moment of his life is made up of happiness, love and affection. Then, for some reason, the relationship ends. Likewise, now all life, including the sky, has darkened for him. There is no meaning or reason to live. It is as if this frustration will continue until the last moment of his life. Then this time our young man is interested in another friend...
The same game continues over and over, albeit with different flavors. The unchanging process is the behavior pattern of evaluating the whole life with the feelings and perceptions of the moment our young person lives in, no matter which love period it is in.
Today's accepted understanding of human history is as follows. Humanity has existed on this planet for more than a hundred thousand years with a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. This was followed by an agricultural society civilization, close to ten thousand years, when urbanization and agriculture began. From this period, cities, fields, trade and state mechanisms began to form, and humanity learned to shape the world according to itself.
Then there was an industrial society civilization that lasted for about 250 years. In this level of civilization, man's world is his own but
Its internal shaping has reached a much more advanced, much more brutal level. Now, a synthetic way of life that is completely distant from the natural realities of the world, shaped on human fiction, has reached the state of habit. Now we are at the beginning of the transition to the "Information Age Civilization".
If 10,000 years of knowledge creates another 250-year-old civilization, it would be a logical foresight to bring humanity to a new age in 100 years from another 250-year-old knowledge. Of course, the fictional world of the information age will also be built on the accumulation of previous civilizational levels.
Building and Its Foundation Metaphor:
Here, I would like to remind you of a metaphor that you have heard many times in life, albeit for different reasons: The issue of building and foundation. So if you want to build a building, you have to start from the foundation.
The truth is that our perceptions, which are shaped according to the era we live in, try to make sense of all the things they encounter according to the moment we live in. It does this, albeit partially. But if we look at the fact, the fiction of agricultural society on natural hunter-gatherer society, another fiction of industrial age civilization on this fiction, another fiction of information age civilization on this fiction on fiction...
The essence of the matter is that we live in a world full of fiction after fiction, devoid of foundation and distanced from the realities of the world (even the universe), only with the feelings and perceptions of the moment. "This is real information. As we move into the information age, there are those who know this information. They also use this information."
Intellectual Property Rights:
IP... aka Intellectual Property. Intellectual Property Rights in Turkish. In a way, it's like getting a plot from MetaVerse. Is the valuable land of the agricultural and industrial society of the past leaving its place to IPs in the future?
Will wars and power struggles be held for these IPs? What will wars be fought for?
If I was able to really explain what I wanted to tell, I think that storms started to break in your head. For now, I'd like to keep you in this wild atmosphere. Because this issue will raise more water. There is so much to write piece by piece. I would like to draw an integrated picture and present my own propositions / predictions with this chief.
Conclusion:
But I would like to remind you again. The basis of all creations of man is his/her knowledge and philosophy. If we do not start from that point, our destiny will be to try to exist in someone else's ficticious reasoning and/or to create a reasoning.
