Why is there a problem with visas to Europe again?

It is said that it is quite difficult to get a visa to Europe these days. For some reason, Europeans don't even give visas to some artists for their concerts. Especially Germany! They say that green passports are the most problematic, and if you have a brand new green passport, for example, if there is no stamp on it, it is examined for a long time at the airports. There must be a reason of course.

Once upon a time, I wrote an article about whether political borders would one day be abolished.

https://strasam.org/ua-iliskiler/uluslararasi-politika/devletler-arasindaki-siyasi-sinirlar-bir-gun-kalkacak-mi-1000

In this article, I have analyzed a little bit the determination of today's political borders and a little bit the historical international relations.

Yes, indeed, it has always been important for human beings to dominate a certain piece of land.

The history of mankind is full of wars over territorial sovereignty.

This is my place, my friend!

Look, I built a perimeter fence, or maybe I built a perimeter wall, it doesn't matter. This land is mine!

Even if you have a hundred square meters, you really feel different in this world.

In the end, you'll only have maybe two square meters of land left!

And who knows how long that will last. Even though it takes a long time for the bones to be mixed with nature, even bones melt away after a certain period of time.

It is not certain that what you call a burial place will remain in this world for a very long time.

Let's say there are centuries-old graves, there are even older ones, but graves from very old times are usually the graves of someone with a large population. Most of them are of kings or their subjects.

In Egypt, for example, all those ancient pyramid tombs belong to pharaohs.

Who knows how hard the poor slaves worked to build those tombs?

I wonder if anyone has ever found a burial place of those slaves? I don't think so. Almost all of them have disappeared into the dusty shelves of history.

I mean, even our ancestors in Central Asia have maybe three or five graves left. Even we don't have a place in history where we can say this is a Turkish cemetery, despite the fact that we have so much grave culture.

Of course, the fact that we are a nomadic society has a big share in this.

And can you really call that grave site yours?

You don't exist!

It only has meaning for those who come after you. And it's not even clear how many generations later they will remember you.

I don't know, that's what I think.

Graveyards have a special meaning in our culture, of course, but for some reason, not all cultures in the world attach such importance to grave sites.

In Arabia, for example, even in these lands where Islam originated, there is no such thing as a grave site.

There are graves, but those graves belong to people with a large population.

Let's not say all of them, but in some Arab tribes they dig a hole in the desert and bury the deceased, then they say prayers, that's all.

Do you think there is a trace of you left in that vast desert? You are no longer there. In some parts of Arabia, even for those who are left behind, a burial place is not even thought of.

Unfortunately, there are similar practices in other cultures.

In Egypt, for example, there is a tradition of family graveyards. They buried the whole family in turn in the same place.

Can you imagine how many generations were buried in the same place?

In fact, we have similar practices in some places.

In Afyon, for example, as far as I know, such family sarcophagi are still in use.

In short, I don't think it's very clear in this world how much of the land you call yours is really yours.

Still, owning land is an important thing.

And if you are a landlord, that is something else.

Land means power!

Who knows what cunning they have done and maybe the Europeans had to say enough is enough?

It is a great shame, of course.

Wasn't there a gray passport scandal more recently?

That was also a matter of great shame.

Why do they need a visa to enter one country from another?

What's the point?

After all, aren't we all mortal in this world?

This world was not even left to Sultan Suleiman, do you think it will be left to you?

Germany, I'm talking to you!

Europe, I'm talking to all of you.

Why do you insist on visas?

And even if we apply for it, you don't give it to us?

Why do you do this?

***

It really became a state policy once upon a time, our esteemed state elders tried very hard to abolish the visa application mutually with many countries.

As far as I know, visa application was abolished mutually with many African countries.

What happened then?

You know better.

They say we have a lot of visitors from Africa in Turkey. Although I'm not sure if we can call them visitors now.

Once they enter the borders of the country, many of them do not want to go back to their countries.

And there is no visa, isn't that great?

Go to Africa, what's wrong with that? So what?

There are no visas anymore, brother. Go and live there. It's a warm place after all.

It's free to enter and exit, you show your ID card at the entrance, that's all.

***

I went to Georgia once, to Batumi.

If I remember correctly, they didn't really ask for a passport at the entrance.

They saved your ID card in the computer and said "here you go" at the customs gate.

It is actually a very practical application.

Batumi is a very beautiful city by the way, I still remember the delicious smell of the eucalyptus trees on the beach.

However, as far as I know, there is a visa to Dubai. Also, as far as I know, a citizen of the United Arab Emirates vouches for you in the application.

Whoever they find to vouch for you is someone who is responsible for you. Someone you don't know, of course, who earns how much money there just because they are citizens.

I think there is the same practice in other Arab countries.

As far as I understand, a guarantor for the European Union is useless.

I went to Germany once, it was a business visit.

The company we were going to visit arranged the visas.

Germany is also a beautiful place, first of all it is really green. At least the places I visited were like that.

We went to Munich and then I remember we went to Frankfurt by road.

Because it was the weekend, everything was empty in Frankfurt.

But there were a lot of latest model cars around. Audi TT had just come out at that time. I saw a lot of Audi TTs on the roads.

Yes, friend, why don't you give us visas?

I don't need one, but it still makes my blood boil.

I thought visas were supposed to be lifted in Europe. Weren't we all supposed to enter Europe freely with our identities?

Isn't that why the migrant agreement was signed?

Syrian migrants were to stay in Turkey and Turks were to enter and leave Europe freely?

Wasn't this the plan?

Am I remembering it wrong?

Aren't we already a European state? Weren't we joining the European Union just yesterday?

We even have European ministers in the cabinet. Did we make Europeans ministers for nothing?

Why don't you let us into Europe?

Love and respect to everyone from Moscow
