How Much Do We Respect the Law?

I think that no matter how many MPs approve the amendment, it should be mandatory to get the approval of the society. Who cares about the constitution, I hear you say. Yes, I read the YSK's reasoned decision.

Let's say that the party in power has more than 400 deputies according to today's conditions and has the right to change the constitution on its own.

If this party is made up of MPs who swear allegiance to a single person like today's government, can it change the constitution under today's conditions in line with the wishes of that single person?

Yes, it can. And since it has more than four hundred deputies, it does not have to go to the people for approval!

Do you know what sticks in my mind?

Such a right is a very dangerous right.

They can write such a thing in the constitution that even if it is internally inconsistent, it may not be possible to change that constitution through legal means ever again.

What are we going to do in that case?

Let's say they write in the constitution that 601 deputies are needed to change the constitution once again, and the number of deputies will be 600?

Okay, it is illogical, but is there a body that can change the articles of the constitution because they are internally inconsistent?

There is not! It is only written in the constitution how the amendment can be made.

If there is a deliberately wrong content written in this article, as I said, is it possible to change that constitution legally?

I am not a lawyer, so I really don't know. Don't say that such a thing cannot be written in the constitution, I am saying that such a mistake is being made on purpose.

From here we come to the point that we need to decide on our constitution by social consensus.

I think that no matter how many MPs approve an amendment, it should be compulsory to get the approval of the society.

I can hear you saying, who cares about the constitution anyway?

Yes, I read the YSK's reasoned decision.

I don't know, when the government changes, will it be time for this issue to be held to account?

Or will they say okay, let's leave it alone?

Apparently, since I already have my doubts about the opposition's respect for the constitution, it seems unlikely that the new government will be held to account on these issues.

Let's hope that this election is won and we will see.

I don't want to sound like I'm criticizing the opposition, but as I've written before, I wish the parliament had decided to allow the president to participate in the elections. At least the method of going to the elections would have been in accordance with the constitution. At least it would have been procedurally appropriate.

They made a different choice and now we are going to the elections under these conditions.

Whether we like it or not, these are the conditions.

They told us to hold the elections.

So let's do it!

By the way, I realize I didn't write my opinion on how the constitution could be changed if there was such nonsense in it.

I didn't write it because I don't want to write it.

Because unfortunately, changing a constitution that has such nonsense written in it cannot be done through legal methods. I am a person who respects the law very much.

Yes, unlike many others, I really respect the law.

Let's have this election and then we will think about the rest.

I guess some things have to be done by the way the caravan moves.

Love and respect to everyone from Moscow
