In the last few days, the fires in the forests of Turkey's lungs and the lost lives, people, animals and plants are burning our hearts. It's hard not to feel sorry for what happened. Unfortunately, we added our forests to what we could not own.

We cannot take care of our women and children, murders and insane people are on their way. Our young people are still falling to the ground for this homeland, our saplings are being broken in Syria and Iraq. The scourge of the virus continues with new heights in our country, our people, young and old, are leaving without time, so we have no fun.

Let's get back to the fires.

The fact that the fires occur in multiple regions strengthens the possibility of sabotage. So the situation is much worse, much sadder. This kind of underbelly dishonor, which can only be done by human spoofs, should be combated preventively. The main duty of the state is to protect all kinds of life and property security of its citizens against those who have this blood. Security is the most basic right and expectation of citizens.

It is another sad situation to see that the state was caught unprepared for such large and simultaneous fires in different regions, whether it was sabotage or not.

If these fires were a planned sabotage, they should have been prevented with effective intelligence before the fire was started. Every summer, at this time, our forests are on fire and we still cannot take adequate and preventive measures. Why? We should question this at every level.

The other issue; The guards, workers, engineers, pilots, firefighters and all the officers who intervene in the fires are not paid their dues, of course, they give their lives and their blood, they work without any overtime, but it seems that these fires have grown so much because of the insufficient fire fighting aircraft and on time. could not be extinguished. It is obvious that this issue is a very important management weakness. Immediately, a parliamentary question should be raised and research should be carried out. The relevant authorities should be held accountable for the negligence that caused the loss of life and property.

If a state and the people living in that state, instead of the necessary aircraft to extinguish its forest and protect its people, animals and trees, dozens of tools, equipment, aircraft, etc. If he allocates his resources, brings those who make this choice to power, and keeps them in power, he is also responsible for such misfortunes that befall him. Because democracy is self-government by the people. Every society chooses the government worthy of it and lives under its rule.

Reputation, on the other hand, is not with goods, property, tools, equipment; It increases with traits such as knowledge, good manners, humility, industriousness and helpfulness.

While this is the case; While there are an average of 20 firefighting aircraft in countries like Greece, Spain, France and Italy that are frequently exposed to forest fires, it is an unacceptable management error that there are only 3 aircraft in Turkey, which are also leased aircraft.

Let's hope our managers learn from this scourge, disseminate preventative intelligence, revert from the "no reputational savings" fallacy, and use resources to procure and use more efficient and accurate equipment.

Let's hope that the people will stop blaming the opposition, internal, external and spiritual forces for all kinds of disasters and mistakes that have happened to them, understand that in democracies the authority and responsibility are in the government, and the power is in themselves, and make their choice at the time of election accordingly.
