In Turkish Politics, Lock and Boogeyman Approach

In the 2019 local elections, HDP said, “As a party, we will not nominate candidates in some regions.” Let's remember that both the Nation and the Republic, both alliances in the race, aspired to these votes.

In fact, unlike in the history of the Republic of Turkey, the brother of the head of the terrorist wanted with a red notice appeared on TRT, an official institution, and we were all shocked.

HDP made a choice and used its support in some regions in favor of the Nation alliance, but did not join the alliance.

He used his own will in this direction.

Now, a question comes to mind, trying to consolidate the nationalist votes by associating the HDP with other parties.

If the HDP had opted for the People's Alliance and had supported Binali Yıldırım, for example, instead of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the candidate for the Nation Alliance, wouldn't the People's Alliance and the parties that formed it not accept this support?

This HDP is related to terrorism, so would they say, "O HDP people, do not vote for the People's Alliance candidates"?

Let's not be funny.

Of course, they would have accepted the HDP's support, with a smile.

Hasn't the terrorist leader's letter been read just to gain this support? Isn't his brother, who gets a share of all of our taxes, not taken to TRT?

No legal action was taken against all TRT officials, from the presenter of the program who brought Osman Öcalan, who is allegedly wanted with a red notice, to TRT, the General Manager of the period who made that program, and of course the minister responsible for TRT.

In fact, while the wanted person was on TRT live, the police officers in charge of this country's security and public order did not catch him.

What was the reason why the security and intelligence forces, who were able to carry out a point operation from kilometers away and we are proud of, did not catch Osman Öcalan?

We don't know.

As the public, we do not know that such a program was realized by whom or by whose instruction.

As a result, this incident took its place in history as a political freak move, whose reasons and whose instructions were carried out, which will be discussed a lot in the future.

Anyway, back to the HDP issue.

It is neither rational nor logical to expect HDP's support in the elections to be rejected, or to show HDP in the alliance of the Nation because of this support.

In my opinion, this political understanding is nothing but the effort and defamation of the supporters of the People's Alliance to hit the other alliance below the waist.

If HDP announces that it will support the People's Alliance candidate in the next election, due to the current political conjuncture and a certain head-to-head race, "No, we don't want your vote." There is no brave man who can say.

Yes, unfortunately, HDP could not become a party that could spread throughout Turkey, as it did not distance itself from the terrorist organization, and the development of democracy remained stale.

The HDP's not giving up on acting under the guidance of the terrorist organization prevents other parties from acting together with this party and forming alliances in order not to lose their supporters.

With this structure and political understanding, HDP remains a "key" party on the one hand, and a "booge" party on the other hand, in Turkey's renewed electoral system.

However, Turkey's need is to be united with its east, west, north and south, to be united, to crown the republic with democracy, and to show the will to act together against all internal and external enemies.

In short, the desire to recruit the nationalist votes to the People's alliance by pushing the HDP into the Nation alliance is a futile effort.
