Is it easy to give up?

The more attached you are, the harder it is to let go? That's why human beings, even if it's a small assumption, should not be so attached to whatever it is that they are attached to with all their being, with all their being, that they get carried away too much, in case one day they might give it up.

To give up? Or not to get attached? Are we the ones who make life difficult? Or is it life that is difficult? I think the truth is that we will never ask ourselves these questions until circumstances force us to. We will inevitably prefer to avoid asking them.

Maybe we are the ones who make life difficult. The more attached you are, the harder it is to let go? That is why human beings, even if it is a small assumption, should not be so attached to whatever it is that they are attached to with their whole being, with their whole being, that they get too carried away, in case one day they might give it up. In fact, a person should be a bit like a nomad, he should be attached to everything around him from that point of view, as if he is going to leave at any moment. Maybe you won't even be attached to your child, because he is also a guest in the end, even if he is the one you brought into your home. Just like you are in this world. If he is with you today, tomorrow he will fly away from the nest when the time comes.

If one knows that even one's child will leave one's side one day, one knows that life is impermanent, that everything around us is in fact temporary, that the essence of life is this constant state of motion that we call impermanence. Maybe it is because I have internalized this issue within myself, that is why I have always asked "why can't people just give up?", from the pathetic and sometimes hopeless cases and landscapes I have seen.

People should be strong enough to know how to give up when necessary, and courageous enough to turn their backs and walk away when necessary.

People sometimes give up the land they were born in in order to live, sometimes give up their own lives for their homeland, sometimes sacrifice themselves without blinking an eye in order for their offspring to live. Sometimes they give up themselves just to make their loved ones happy.

They give up, but these things are not as easy as it is written and seen. Otherwise, everyone would know how to give up when necessary, wouldn't they? When one gives up, a sadness, an unpleasant bitterness is left behind.

One can give up everything, but never oneself! No matter what happens, even if the circumstances force you to give up everything, I tell my friends, my friends, don't give up on yourself. This point is the moment when a person is finished. There is no evil that a person who gives up on himself cannot do, no madness that he cannot jump into without calculation. They can do anything. The man who gives up on himself is the most dangerous man.

We should not appreciate the past and the future, but only the time we are in, and we should live like that. You don't get attached to anything so much that you exhaust yourself, you don't exhaust yourself, and when you have to give up, you do it for yourself, so that you don't get upset and you can continue your life from where you left off. If you have given up on yourself, that's a different situation.

If we want to be attached, let's be attached to our beliefs, our values. Let's connect to those who have eternity, not to mortals.

Can Yücel's poem "You will not be attached" suddenly came to my mind. How beautifully he wrote...

You will not be attached to something, blindly.

You won't say, "I can't live without it."

You just won't.

Because you'll live.

There's no need for such platitudes.

You won't love too much. You'll be hurt if he loves you less.

And he usually loves you less than you love him.

If you don't love too much, you won't pity too much.

If you don't possess too much, you don't belong too much.

Even your hands and feet will not be too possessive.

You will treat them as if they are not yours.

And if you have nothing, you won't be afraid of losing it.

You will act as if you can live without them.

You won't have a lot of stuff in your house, for example.

You'll be able to walk around.

If you have to own things,

You will own where the rooftops meet the sky.

You will own the sky,

The sun, the moon, the stars...

The north star, for example, will be your star.

You'll say, "It's mine."

If you want something to belong to you...

For example, the rainbow will be yours.

If you must belong to something, you'll belong to colors.

Like orange, or pink.

Or you'll belong to heaven.

You will live without being too possessive, without belonging too much.

As if it could slip out of your grasp at any moment,

Life as if it will always be yours.

You'll have an affair. Holding on to the edge.

Stay with respect and love.
