Philosophy of Dreams and Realities

When we act like someone else and live like someone else, we abandon our dreams along with ourselves. The moment we give up being ourselves, we give up our dreams and we pay the price with unhappiness.

When dreams and realities become confused, one becomes unable to get out of the work. This is called a schizophrenic case in psychology. In other words, pursue your dreams, but never turn them into a passion! I wanted to explain these lines in the simplest way for you, my dear readers, in an article format that smells of philosophy in my own profession. Because everything starts with dreams in this life! The more we can be ourselves, the more real our dreams can become. Can man be himself? This question is one of the questions that have occupied humanity the most. There is no definitive answer, no single formula or prescription for whether one can be oneself or not! In fact, perhaps there is no formula or prescription at all. That is precisely why this question is so valuable. Most probably, one can never be completely oneself.

Even when he thinks he is completely himself, he is always under the influence of certain rules that were set before him, social forms that were created before him, psychological traumas that he has been subjected to against his will, the environment, beliefs and traditions that first formed him and then firmly surrounded him, the teachings he was born into, the politics, ideologies or education he has received in his country. It is not possible to get rid of these influences one hundred percent, and it is partly through these influences that human beings come into being. It is partly thanks to them that he is protected from the mass and personal destruction that might occur in the absence of these influences or values that surround him. Let us leave aside the aspects of the question "Can man be himself?" that can be explained by philosophy, sociology or psychology, to ask ourselves later if we wish. But let's not overlook the relationship between dreams and the issue of human beings being themselves. Because the more we can be ourselves, the more real our dreams can become. When we start acting like someone else and living like someone else, we abandon our dreams along with ourselves. The moment we give up being ourselves, we give up our dreams and we pay the price with unhappiness. We suffer because we cannot be ourselves and we turn our backs on our dreams. But of course, in the midst of all these social and psychological determinants, people can also forget who they really are. They may not know where to turn and start looking for themselves. Where did I make the first mistake that made me stop being myself? Or he tends to look for his biggest mistake. In short, he blames himself. And this is the beginning of a destructive path towards self-dislike. There is no need for all this. You only need one thing: To remember your dreams. Because remembering your dreams allows you to remember who you really are.

For example, did you dream of being a ballerina, a singer, a farmer, a doctor, a writer, a fashion designer, a civil servant, a teacher, a painter or a sailor? Was it to experience true, unending love? To love and be loved? Was it to cook great food? To get married and start a family? Travel the world freely? Dedicate your life to animal rights? Creating projects that serve humanity? Was it to be rich? To live in peace? What were your dreams when you started to get to know yourself? What kind of future did you dream of for yourself? When you remember your first dreams in this world, you first remember who you are, and then you remember when and how you gave up on yourself. And as soon as you remember that, you actually start getting back to yourself. That alone is enough to be good. Yes, remembering that you wanted to be a ballerina at the age of fifty doesn't make you realize your dream of becoming a ballerina. Or time may have been missed for many professions, many projects. But there is no age or limit to being oneself and to the dreams that will blossom and come true as long as we are ourselves. There is no age or limit to happiness or peace, for example. There is no age or limit to creativity. There are infinite forms and varieties of loving and being loved, of serving humanity, of making life meaningful for ourselves and others.

The main thing is that a person who cannot be himself cannot have a dream of his own. The person who strives to be himself is the one whose dreams come true. There is no single dream. No one's right or life is limited to a single dream. On the contrary, dreams are infinite. But the key to this door to infinity lies in being ourselves. We cannot enter that door where dreams come true as someone else. We cannot pretend to be someone else and wait for dreams that are not ours to come true.

If we remember who we are, if we insist on being ourselves and start living ourselves, we will have brand new dreams that will keep us alive and happy.

And those new dreams, without any age limit or conditions, become realizable dreams.

And the bigger they are, the more limitless they are, the more crazy and incredible they are, the more real they become. Because dreams grow as we become ourselves, and only then do they become reality.

Stay with respectful love.
