Why is a change of mentality in politics necessary?
Some societies call changes in mentality a revolution. If we think of a country as a vehicle, for example a train, if the engineer driving it is not skilful and competent in changing the switches, the train will not be able to take its passengers to the last stop!
Deep-rooted changes of mentality in societies do not happen immediately, social dynamics and inferior and superior structures do not allow this. Changes take time and this change first starts with a change in mentality wherever there are people. As the people see the change of mentality as a need and accept the change in this direction, individual changes begin to be seen in the people living in that country and on that land.
What does mentality mean? Mentality, as a definition, is known as a way of thinking, a way of thinking formed by the influence of the factors of opinion and belief in individuals who are the building blocks of a society. Now ask yourself and think about it. What are the concepts that affect us and force us to think? Success, failure, happiness, unhappiness, wealth, poverty, friendship, friendship, betrayal, love, understanding, marriage, femininity, masculinity, strength, weakness, etc. are the first ones that come to mind. For example, is only someone who has no money called poor? Is everyone who has money, fame or property really rich? Perhaps he may be a poor person in proportion to the amount of money he has. Despite his money and power, who knows, he is poor.
We try to find the right answers to these questions according to ourselves. Because we start to turn into what we think in time. However, everything begins and ends in the mind. We should not trust our mind too much. The mind can make a camel out of a flea as well as a camel out of a flea. But we should trust our mind.
The way to develop the mind is ultimately to reach knowledge. By reading, observing, trial and error, or being curious about the experiences of others, we make progress towards becoming wiser in life and eventually we can find the truth.
On the other hand, mindset change is not the property of only some special people. It is the work of people who learn to think, access the right information and use it as it should be; who are against rote learning and love to live. The way to make the difficult easy is to train. Failing until you succeed is the basis of this teaching. People who are stubborn and determined enough will sooner or later start to be a light to themselves and others with their flexible, rich and virtuous perspectives.
Since the change of mindset gains depth with knowledge and experience, transitions should be made very carefully. These changes without the right infrastructure can lead the society and the individual to extinction.
The turbulent situation that our country is going through today is one-to-one related to this issue that I want to tell you. The important thing is that the right does not give chance to the wrong. Some societies call changes in mentality a revolution. If we think of a country as a vehicle, for example a train, if the engineer driving it is not skilful and competent when changing the switches, the train will not be able to take its passengers to the last stop!
If the train is a country, the passenger travelling in it is a nation. Therefore, if you are the passenger of the train, it should be your primary duty to keep the train engineer, to whom you entrust the train, under constant control for the sake of your life and welfare. Because you are the one who will die if the train engineer makes a mistake!
Stay with respectful love.
