What is Free Energy? Is it Possible to Prevent Global Warming?

Electric cars are now much more popular in Europe and the US, solar panels are being installed everywhere, wind turbines and other green energy sources are just a few measures.

Ever since I was little, I have been reading books about how one day humanity will make the world uninhabitable.

The first one I remember was a novel about a mad scientist (I say man here, because the character in the book was really a man!) who one day caused a chemical war on Earth that killed all of humanity.

Before detonating the chemical bombs himself, the wise scientist escaped out of the atmosphere in a spacecraft and then returned to earth to investigate the situation after the chemical effects of the bombs had worn off.

In this novel, there was talk of underground subway lines and tunnels in the then bipolar world, like the one in Moscow, which I have seen and live in today. Years later, I said to myself that the author was talking about these tunnels in his novel, and in the novel, it was supposedly about the fact that the other side was transporting human brains to gorillas, and that these soldier gorillas with human brains were still living in the tunnels because the chemical gas did not affect those deep subway tunnels.

The first thing our man did was to go to the land of the opposite pole, which he was very curious about, and to study it.

Of course, the novel did not mention the Soviets or the Americans, but whatever the author called the opposite poles, I don't remember now, believe me, the bipolar world in the novel was mentioned with those names.

Another detail I remember from the novel is that the scientist was astonished that after a certain date in his own country, babies were supposedly being vaccinated, and that the chemical bomb he had developed had no effect on the vaccinated children.

In his country, if I remember correctly, children up to the age of eleven or twelve were still living in the cities.

So he had kidnapped a few of them, improved the old chemical formula he had prepared in his laboratory and applied it on them, and after testing that the new formula also killed children, he was happy and proud of himself.

When I think about it today, I marvel at how monstrously sentimental a novel I read at that age.

I really don't remember the name of the novel or the author.

***

I used to read a lot when I was little. You'd be surprised how many slippers I got from my mother, just because of that, once I got into a novel, I couldn't see anything else.

I couldn't make it to dinner on time, and sometimes I couldn't make it to school on time.

Poor mom, on the one hand she was probably happy that I was reading a book, but on the other hand she would get angry by telling me to come to the table fifty times and the slipper would fly at my head.

***

By the way, the scientist in the novel I mentioned has a really creepy character, I get chills just thinking about it.

The masked passenger who killed the taxi driver recently probably has a similar brutal character.

As a society, we seem to have gone down a very bad path.

People are really going crazy these days.

May the end be auspicious.

Anyway, after this long introduction, let's get to the point.

Not only in the books I read when I was young, but also in many science fiction movies today, scenarios are written about the end of humanity itself.

In a recent series of movies I watched and in the science fiction movie that followed, it was mentioned that because of a gas that scientists released into the atmosphere to calm people down, some of the people first went crazy and became savages and the rest of the people died on the spot due to the effect of the gas.

In the movie, those who somehow survived started to live by establishing colonies in various places in the universe.

That was the plot of the movie in a nutshell.

I don't know if the name of the series is the same, but the movie is called "Mysterious Journey Serenity".

The movie stars Morena Baccarin and Summer Glau, two of my favorite movie actresses.

I recommend it to people who like movies like this. But watch the series first, because the movie is a continuation of the series.

Global warming is one of the most important issues of our time and I have recently written a few articles on the subject, seeking answers to questions that have been on my mind.

Yes, many conscious and sensitive people in the world, some of them activists, are taking remarkable initiatives to reduce carbon emissions.

In addition, especially scientists are coming up with all kinds of opinions on what can be done in this regard.

There are also many government projects to encourage the transition to what we call green energy, energy sources with relatively lower carbon emissions than fossil fuels.

Electric cars are now much more popular in Europe and the US, solar panels are being installed everywhere, wind turbines and other green energy sources are just a few measures.

And then there is my personal favorite, fuel hydrogen.

Even BMW recently unveiled its new hydrogen-powered engine to the world with a big launch.

So I still think that hydrogen powered vehicles will be much more popular in the future.

The world is reacting to stop global warming, but how much good these efforts are doing is a question mark.

For now, the answer to this question is "very little!".

Factories continue to operate at full capacity and the carbon-based gases they release into the atmosphere, at least carbon dioxide gas, are cited as the main cause of global warming.

Since the doors of the factories cannot be locked and since the world economy has to go much further than these levels, all these factories, fossil fuel energy monsters as I call them, have to work.

So is it not possible to do something else and prevent global warming?

***

This is another question that scientists are trying to answer today!

If factories have to work and emit carbon emissions, then we can prevent global warming in another way!

What could this other way be?

***

Let's think together.

What heats the earth?

The sun! The sun is our greatest source of energy. It is also the source of life!

But isn't there a way to block the sun's rays somehow?

For example, wouldn't it be possible to do this with a panel, a mirror that we could put between the earth and the sun?

We can measure and figure out where to put the smallest sized mirror and I think it is technically possible.

It is not much, it is enough to block 3%-5% of the incoming rays with such a reflector that you will put in between.

In my previous articles on this subject, I have mentioned how cold the space around the Earth is. When you cut off the incoming heat source, the excess heat will be easily transferred to such a cold environment.

If the heat is somehow trapped in the atmosphere, then we can cut it off at the source!

This is the first method considered!

Another way is to do something with the very thin layer of water vapor in the uppermost layers of the atmosphere.

You can also call the top layer the clouds.

Because the temperature level is very low at those levels, ice particles form within this thin layer of water vapor, and the main problem is that the sun's rays reflected back from the earth are reflected back to the earth through these ice particles.

Carbon dioxide gas and other carbon compounds in the atmosphere, which have a high heat-trapping capacity, are thought to be the cause of global warming.

If we can somehow melt these ice particles and prevent the sun's rays from reflecting back to the earth, we can prevent global warming caused by carbon emissions.

In order to melt the ice particles, it was thought that some chemical gases would be released into this layer.

I was really scared when I learned that there were scientists who put forward this as a solution.

I just watched the movie above, where they supposedly released gases into the atmosphere to calm down a frustrated humanity and caused the deaths of so many people.

That was a scenario, but still, such crazy ideas that would upset the balance of nature frighten me.

Sometimes I feel like these scientists can't think logically. They are obsessed with the subjects they are dealing with and they cannot calculate the possible risks of the ideas they put forward as solutions very well.

Some of them seem to be heartless, like the hero of the novel I read when I was little.

***

Another solution is to build a ring of ice particles around the Earth, like Saturn.

This would allow less sunlight to reach the equatorial regions of the world where there is drought and prevent global warming by blocking the sun's rays, as in the first option.

***

Of course, while these methods are technologically feasible, they are probably too expensive to be financially feasible. They also seem a bit unrealistic.

A more realistic solution is to recycle the free energy that is wasted from energy sources and converted into heat through some kind of energy recovery.

In other words, reducing the extra energy spent for technological purposes.

Today, for example, power plants need cooling, and hot water from water conversion is usually cooled in cooling towers.

In other words, its heat is released into the atmosphere.

On the other hand, we burn natural gas for heating in cities.

Moreover, the houses we try to heat are buildings without thermal insulation.

However, if the wasted heat from the power plants were used for heating the cities, here is energy saving for you.

If we make buildings with thermal insulation, we would spend much less energy.

It is possible to reduce the energy needed in these and similar ways, and I have a feeling that the contribution of this solution to preventing global warming will be much more than the extreme solutions I mentioned above.

***

For this purpose, I have been watching videos on the internet where mayors in Europe have very good energy saving projects.

The local elections are still a while away, and the candidates have only just been identified. There are still candidates who have not been selected yet.

But on the other hand, we can say that election propaganda has already started.

So far, I haven't heard any promises from anyone to turn the city into an energy-efficient city.

All I've heard are people saying that our soup preferences have increased, people throwing tangerines, and the thigh issue.

Citizens ask, where is that thigh, and say, "We haven't seen any thigh, brother.

And he looks around with curious eyes to see if they are distributing drumsticks.

So maybe the candidates are right not to get into this energy saving issue.

Even the word "but" drives the citizens crazy.

If you put a ballot box in front of him today, he will vote for the one who says he will distribute thighs. People are that hungry!

***

That's how it is, what the world is dealing with, what we are dealing with.

I hope the day will come when we will say, what can we do to prevent global warming?

Love and respect to everyone from Moscow.
